Summary

In April 2026 U.S. agencies published 645 recall records that GovInfoNow tracks: 536 from FDA, 75 from CPSC, 31 from NHTSA and 3 from USDA FSIS.

That total is up 77% from March 2026 (364), and up 31% from April 2025 (492).

Medical devices made up the largest share (352, 55%).

Sorting each record by the reason the agency gave, the most common hazards were labeling, dosing or quality defects (104), device or part malfunction (83) and contamination, sterility or manufacturing (CGMP) (81).
