Summary

In April 2025 U.S. agencies published 492 recall records that GovInfoNow tracks: 423 from FDA, 34 from CPSC, 29 from NHTSA and 6 from USDA FSIS.

That total is up 18% from March 2025 (417), and up 11% from April 2024 (443).

Medical devices made up the largest share (246, 50%).

Sorting each record by the reason the agency gave, the most common hazards were contamination, sterility or manufacturing (CGMP) (161), labeling, dosing or quality defects (81) and device or part malfunction (49).
