Summary

In October 2025 U.S. agencies published 754 recall records that GovInfoNow tracks: 645 from FDA, 51 from CPSC, 51 from NHTSA and 7 from USDA FSIS.

That total is up 60% from September 2025 (472), and up 39% from October 2024 (544).

Medical devices made up the largest share (361, 48%).

Sorting each record by the reason the agency gave, the most common hazards were contamination, sterility or manufacturing (CGMP) (135), labeling, dosing or quality defects (81) and device or part malfunction (62).

Of the 641 recalls our plain-English summaries have rated so far, 103 (16%) were rated “stop using now”.

GenoGenix had the most records (57). FDA files one record per product, so one recall event can account for many of these.
