I purchased this vehicle new in 2021. In XXX, the vehicle started shaking while driving then suddenly cut off. Mileage was a little over 12K. Diagnosis was an engine lifter issue. The dealership replaced all 16 engine lifters. The vehicle now has a little over 52K miles on it. The engine lifters have failed again. This is a known safety issue for this (and other GM vehicles) manufactured in the same timeframe. However, GM has not issued a recall. I am now looking at having to replace the lifters at my cost and/or driving an unsafe vehicle. I have a wife and [XXX] son. This is an untenable situation. GM must issue a recall and correct this issue. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM …
Total Engine failure. This is the second time. The vehicle had under 2000 miles when the first engine failure happened and left us sitting on the Turnpike. Very unsafe!! We were assured we received a new "upgraded" engine only to find out GM decided to roll the dice with our lives and the lives of our family (grandchildren) and put another bad engine in our vehicle. I will never feel safe with this vehicle or that they are putting in "new" parts.
The vehicle was being driven from work to home on the interstate, when a loud ticking/knocking noise was heard while exiting the interstate. The motor lost power when trying to accelerate while pulling into our driveway. It was noticed that the "Service Transmission" light came on as well. It was towed to the Chevrolet dealership in Bardstown, KY where they did diagnostic testing and stated that the motor had "locked up" and will have to be replaced. The service person at the Chevrolet dealership stated that the transmission could have been affected also because the service transmission light was on as well. We are lucky the loss of power and the engine locking up did not occur on the in…
Engine began to reduce RPMs while driving up an incline and was unable to maintain speed. Warnings came on for battery, oil, transmission failure, engine failure. Power ultimately failed and electric finally shutoff after short period of time. Was able to connect to Onstar and they got a tow truck there in 2 hours. I had to hitchhike 30 miles to our residence to get another vehicle to pickup my wife and our 2 large dogs because tow truck unable to transport them. There is no Uber or Lyft in the rural mountain areas of [XXX], and no cell service. Car was towed into service center about 50 miles away, and I was told that the engine had to be replace. But they don't have the parts available …
This engine failed while I was driving. You need to speed up the process and make GM know that their 6.2 engines are failing still to this day . People can get in accidents due to this happening. GM needs to be held accountable for their mistakes. I was lucky my vehicle engine failed near my home and not on the interstate. Please get to the bottom of this . There is no reason that these engines are failing in 2026.
Rear wheel lock up for a slight second and then down shifted and revved way up to high RPM then went into reduced power. then slowed down and had to drive about 15 miles an hour. to shop mechanic.
The contact owns a 2023 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a solenoid failure. The dealer replaced several unknown components before determining that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was being repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was safe to drive; however, the manufacturer declined to provide documentation stating that the vehicle was safe to drive. The contact expressed concern that the vehicle was unsafe to drive because engine seizure was a common issue. The failure mileage was approximately 41,000.
Abs system is not functioning properly, codes are being thrown for multiple things such as cylinder 2, which all spark plugs and coils and spark lines were fixed, then it ran for one day and threw a different code of cylinder 6 misfire with the abs and stailitrx system not functioning correctly. Several parts have been changed on this by professionals and they canât figure out why this is happening. I donât have my full hp.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

The Rear Camera Mirror display may appear angled downward. Investigation found that an aftermarket or dealer-installed rear license plate frame can contact the license plate lamp applique, pushing the applique upward and skewing the camera display angle. Remove or reposition the interfering frame, verify proper applique seating, and confirm the Rear Camera Mirror display is correctly aligned.
This PI communicates the possibility of a B1599 setting and directs to contact TCSC.

From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited. The rapid burning can cause the inflator to rupture during deployment, potentially causing serious or even fatal injury to vehicle occupants. See 20

Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2027, owners most often name: engine, exterior lighting, unknown or other. 4,888 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
