What to do if you have a recalled product

  1. Don’t eat it, even if it looks and smells fine — Listeria and Salmonella don’t change how food looks.
  2. Check the lot code, UPC and dates on the package against the recall notice; only those lots are affected.
  3. Return it for a refund or throw it away in a sealed bag, then wash surfaces it touched.
  4. Feel unwell? Call your doctor and mention the recall, especially if you’re pregnant, older or immunocompromised.
