The FDA announced on April 14, 2026, that Dexcom, Inc. is voluntarily recalling the Dexcom G7 CGM watchOS App due to a software defect that may cause delayed glucose readings and missed alerts. The recall affects SW13355 versions 2.9.0 through 2.11.2 distributed worldwide.
How to tell if you have it

The hazard
According to the FDA, a software defect in which a low-priority file I/O check blocks the higher-priority thread responsible for processing estimated glucose values (EGVs) and trend arrows may cause EGV notifications to queue up and replay sequentially. This delay creates a risk that users may miss detection of a hypoglycemic or hyperglycemic event, or make treatment decisions based on outdated glucose information.
