My 2014 Acura MDX had the same issue that it is currently being recalled (26V-365) except this happened to the front control arms. In August of 2024 I had to replace both the front lower control arms because the bushings were splitting. Had they split while driving I would've lost control of the car and crashed which is the concern with the current recall for the rear control arms. It was fortunate that this potentially dangerous crack was found during an unrelated service. I strongly feel that this recall for the MDX should be expanded to cover the front control arms too. This issue of dangerous corrosion is not limited to the rear.
On multiple occasions while my car is stopped at a light or stop sign the idle restart stalls and the car shuts off. I need to give it a few minutes and restart the car. It mainly happens when the auto shut off for idling restarts. I have had it happen more than 10X with my kids in the car. I have done all required work - timing belt & water pump replacement, transmission fluid flush, new times and new suspension. It continues to get worse.
A lot of lights came on dash, multiple failures of systems listed. Had vehicle scanned, found code U3000-49, forward facing camera issues. Code is hard fault, will not clear. When inspecting camera, found it to be extremely hot(couldn't hold it without getting blistered)

The Auto Idle Stop has activated normally at traffic lights, but on two occasions the engine shut off and then failed to automatically restart when I released the brake. A yellow warning light with an exclamation mark also appeared on the dashboard. The most recent incident happened yesterday, 09/25/2026. There have also been several other times when the engine did restart, but it took noticeably more effort or longer than normal to restart from Auto Idle Stop.
The contact owns a 2013 Acura MDX. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power, and the steering wheel became difficult to turn. The contact was able to steer the vehicle to the side of the road. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated during the failure. The contact disconnected the negative battery terminal and replaced the battery, and the vehicle restarted an hour later; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was towed to three independent mechanics to be diagnosed, and it was determined that the fuel pump module had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while driving at various speeds. The manufact…

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2026, owners most often name: engine, power train, electrical system. 2,069 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
