The window panel separated from its retaining track in the window frame. The sash (the part of the window that holds the acrylic panel) disengaged from the upper frame, and a portion of the retaining track was visibly deformed. The window is designed to remain secured in the frame during normal operation, but in this instance that did not occur. The detached sash and deformed track are available for inspection. This window is part of the vehicleâs exterior opening. Because the sash is no longer secured in the frame, the window cannot be safely operated or relied upon to remain in place. There is a risk that the panel could fall out during vehicle movement or while parked, allow water int…

Others in Facebook groups and forums have had the same issue with beds breaking at the same weld which is at the end of the bed. Contacted Winnebago and they said nothing they can do. Case:00432260
RE: NHTSA recalls 22V-696 and 23V-62 While parked at a State Camp Ground the Carefree Awning opened violently. If someone had been standing outside near the Van they surely would have bee hit/injured. Conditions; Sunny afternoon, no Wind, Flat surface. I am the 2nd Owner of the Winnebago Travato Camper Van. Through my own research prior to buying the Van I was aware that there had been issues with the Carefree Awnings. The Seller of my Van completed the recalls with repairs at the dealership where the Van was purchased. I am concerned that the issue does not seem to be completely resolved. I contacted Winnebago and La Mesa RV in the Phoenix AZ area for assistance. La Mesa RV replied …
May 24,2025 as we were driving, the awning completely deployed out causing us to quickly drive on a safer lane to the side to avoid any risk to other drivers. This is definitely a safety risk for travel that can put ourselves and others at harm or crash collision. There were no prior warning whatsoever on our dash board or driver console at all during this incident.
I have a 2024 Ram Promaster Travato/Winnebago Class B 4 mo. ago I noticed the sliding door window on the right side of the vehicle fell on me as I was walking by the Van. I taped it on with tape and drove to Meyers Syracuse, NY location 730 Interstate Island. May 17th 2024 315-413-0401. They supposedly fixed it. Today I noticed I couldn't close that same window and there was a big gap under the window that's supposed to fit in the intended groove. I am so afraid if that window fell of while driving it could cause serious injury possible death. Thank goodness I check the windows
The LT 225/ 75R 16 rear driver and passenger tires started shredding on my 2020 Winnebago Travato at around 12,000 miles. First the rear driver side one and then about 300 miles later the rear passenger. I drove only on well paved roads, mostly highway, and kept it under a RV carport in my garage when not in use
This is a 2022 Winnebago Travato 59G on the 2021 Ram Promaster. We have already done the two recalls on the Carefree Awning at Meridian ID Camping World, most recent in May 2024. #22V-696, 23V-627. The van has been driven in town a few times since the most recent recall fix with no incident. Now the awning noisily deployed when the ignition was turned ON. I turned the engine off, awning stopped about 75% out. We were luckily NOT parked next to anything that could have been damaged and were not away from home. Awning cannot be extended or retracted and the van cannot be driven. It is in our driveway. Dealer contacted, but cannot come out to look at it before 08/16/24. No other symptoms occur…

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.
NHTSA opened AQ17-003 to determine whether Lazydays RV of Seffner, Florida (Lazydays) has complied with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act, 49 U.S.C. Chapter 301 (Safety Act) and its implementing regulations. NHTSA received information suggesting Lazydays delivered a new Winnebago recreational vehicle (RV) without having remedied a recall. No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
