What Victory Vegas owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Victory Vegas safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.

The contact owns 2016 Victory Vegas Motorcycle. The contact stated while riding 60-70 MPH, the motorcycle downshifted to 4th gear independently. Several warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle then shifted back to 5th gear independently. The contact was able to continue riding. The motorcycle was taken to an independent mechanic where the clutch plate was replaced on two different occasions; however, the failure recurred increasingly while riding. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The motorcycle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 19,000.
2 OUT OF 5 BOLTS BROKE THAT HOLD THE REAR SPROCKET IN PLACE. ONE OF THE BOLT HEADS DID SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE FLYWHEEL AND EVEN BENT THE END OF THE SWINGARM. SOME HAVE STATED THAT THIS IS NOT UNCOMMON AND WAS LIKELY DUE TO THE POWDER-COATING ON THE SPROCKET WEARING OFF, ALLOWING ENOUGH PLAY/MOVEMENT TO RESULT IN THIS FAILURE. THE MOTORCYCLE IS COMPLETELY STOCK, HAS HAD NO MODIFICATIONS, AND THE REAR TIRE/WHEEL HAS NEVER BEEN OFF THE MOTORCYCLE. FORTUNATELY, THIS FAILURE HAPPENED ON A RIDE OF LESS THAN 5 MILES ON LOCAL ROADS. IF THIS WOULD'VE HAPPENED ON A LONGER RIDE AT SPEED AND ANY OF THE OTHER 3 BOLTS BROKE, IT COULD'VE RESULTED IN A CRASH.
THERE IS A RECALL OF THE FUEL PUMP FOR SAFETY REASONS AND THE DEALERSHIP KEEPS TELLING DATES THAT POLARIS WILL HAVE THE FUEL PUMP. FIRST IT WAS MID-FEBRUARY AND AS OF TODAY WHEN I SPOKE WITH THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID POLARIS HAS REMOVED THE DATE AND THERE IS NO TELLING WHEN THERE WILL BE ONE REPLACED PER THE RECALL OF THE DEFECTED PUMP. I GUESS THE BIKE HAS TO STALL WHILE I AM USING IT CAUSING A CRASH BEFORE POLARIS FEELS THEY NEED TO DO SOMETHING. *TR
MY MOTORCYCLE STALLS / LOSSES POWER ON ITS OWN AT ANY SPEED, BOTH COLD OR WARMED UP. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS - WHEN IN TRAFFIC OR ESPECIALLY CROSSING A BUSY INTERSECTION. FROM A STOP LIGHT OR SIGN- I HAVE ENTERED INTO INTERSECTIONS 4 TIMES, WHEN THE BIKE STALLED OUT. VERY UNSAFE WHEN VEHICLES ARE CONFUSED AND PEOPLE PANIC. NOTE, TWICE THE REAR WHEEL LOCKED UP, CAUSING TO LOOSE CONTROL. I'M LUCKY TO BE ALIVE. VICTORY / POLARIS MUST RESOLVE THIS "UNSAFE AT ANY SPEED" STALLING ISSUE BEFORE DEATHS BEGIN TO PILE UP!!! *TR
I AM CONCERNED WITH THE OPERATION OF THE TURN SIGNALS ON THIS MOTORCYCLE. WHEN YOU TURN ON THE SIGNAL , SOMETIMES IT FLASHES 2 TIMES AND THEN SHUTS OFF , SOMETIMES IT IS 4 TIMES , AND SOMETIMES IT FLASHES ABOUT 20 TIMES AND THEN SHUTS OFF. I HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING HOW LONG THEY WILL FLASH . A FEW WEEKS AGO I WAS ALMOST I AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE THE SIGNAL TURNED OFF LONG BEFORE I GOT TO MY TURN. I THINK THESE TURN SIGNALS ARE DANGEROUS , BUT MY VICTORY DEALER SAYS THEY ARE CONTROLLED BY COMPUTER LOGIC? *TR
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.
A STOP RIDE MEANS THE CONSUMER MUST NOT OPERATE THEIR VEHICLE UNTIL THE REPAIR IS COMPLETE. We have been made aware that some dealers are incorrectly communicating the importance of STOP RIDE communications.
Victory has determined that some 2015-2016 Victory Cruiser motorcycles, certified for sale in the EU market and some non-EU countries outside of the United States and Canada, may not meet emission standards required by the EU directive 2002/24/EC. Victory has released an exhaust system inspection procedure and an ECM software update to bring emissions levels into compliance with EU requirements.
This Team Tip is being released to dealers to provide information regarding the required transition to online PCDX and PCDX training.
Victory has determined that some 2015 Victory motorcycle models, designated for sale in the State of California, may not meet emission control standards set forth by the California Air Resource Board (CARB). Some 2015 Victory motorcycles, equipped with California emission control components, may not effectively utilize stored fuel vapor from the charcoal canister. Victory has developed an updated Idle Air Control distribution hose which enables the engine to draw fuel vapor from the charcoal canister into both front and rear cylinders resulting in more complete utilization of stored fuel vapor
This Voice of Victory has been released to clearly define Victory MotorcycleâÂÂs expectations when filing a warranty claim related to shipping and/or concealed crate damage. In the event that damage occurs during the shipping process, or that damage is concealed under the shipping bag, it is critical to adhere to the claim steps outlined in this communication.

Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2016, owners most often name: electrical system, fuel/propulsion system, power train. 5 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
