What Tiffin BUS owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Tiffin BUS safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.

The vehicle systems named most often in Tiffin BUS complaints (one complaint can name several).
In the owners’ own words, as filed with NHTSA. Unverified reports; NHTSA removes personal details before publishing.
DEF "Head" sensor failure resulting in power reduction to 5%. Due to faulty def head sensors the vehicle will experience power loss dropping to 5% load. These sensors do nothing but measure DEF fluid level and temperature in it's tank. DEF continues to be supplied to the exhaust meeting all EPA regulations in place at this time, BUT the Engine ECU will shut you down leaving you stranded. Problems with micro chip shortages have left many stranded with nothing in place to help them get "home".. We are talking weeks to Months in some cases only to have the def head finally replaced only to fail again with in a couple thousand miles. Emissions are not effected, but "Shaw Development" (DEF…
DEF head failure at 7,000 miles. Engine derated on highway, went into limp mode.

Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.
Stopped using the lights we had been using due to expense. Replaced with these, but these new lights have to be wired in instead of just clicking in. These are the instructions to wire in.
FCCC Motorhome Chassis Rear PDMâÂÂs FL-856
There is the possibility the water filter housing is installed incorrectly. If a motorhome has the water filter housing installed incorrectly, there is the possibility of excess air in the water lines.
On certain 2019 Buses, there is a possibility that the spoiler on the rear cap may not be securely fastened. If the spoiler is not secured it may come off. We orginally had 96 in this service bulletin. Tiffin made production start gluing these in our production line at the time of the service bulletin, but through a communicatio error, only 15 were glued and then they quit. Therefore, we have went back to the last unit of the 96 prior and expanded the recall to where we started gluing again. We have added 178 more units to this service bulletin.
On certain 2019 Buses, there is a possibility that the spoiler on the rear cap may not be sdcurely fastened. If the sopiler is not secured it may become off. We noticed it when it happened in transit to our paint shop about 5 miles away. To our knowledge, only two have come off after sale to customer. There were 96 involved. We have repaired 47, of which 32 were repaired before leaving our plant.
On certain 2018 Buses, the fuel tank sending unit port was incorrectly located. This location causes the fuel gauge to read incorrectly, showing less fuel than is actually in the tank. The tank will read empty when it is still 1/4 of the way full. The repair will consist of removing the existing fuel sending unit, and installing a new sending unit properly calibrated for the port location on the tank. The repair will need to be done at a PowerGlide Service Center at no charge to customer.
There is the possibility that the inverter may stop charging the house batteries after one charging sequence even with the motorhome plugged into shore power. This could lead to the house batteries not charging while plugged into shore power. To repair this, the multiplex system program needs to have a programming update installed. Tiffin included parts and instructions needed to update the system by taking to our dealer or a reputable dealer of their choice free of charge to customer.
There is the possibility that the merge solenoid may not connect the chassis batteries to the house batteries when the engine is running. This would accur when the house battery voltage is too low. This could cause the house batteries not to charge while the engine is running and the house battery voltage is low. Tiffin included parts and work instructions for customer to take to our dealer or reputable service center of their choice free of charge to customer.
This was a letter to our dealers we sent out when we first heard of the Kidde fire extinguisher recall, even though it was still unofficial. We knew our coaches on the dealers' lots contained Kidde and could not be sold unreplaced.

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2021, owners most often name: engine, fuel/propulsion system, unknown or other. 3 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
