The contact owns a 2025 Thor Motor Coach Vegas RV built on a 2025 Ford E-450 chassis. The contact stated that while placing tire covers on the front tires during a trip across the country, the contact noticed that the steel belt around the interior of one of the front tires was visible, and the steel belt was perfectly smooth in the interior of the other front tire. The contact stated that the front tires were worn to the core after driving 600 miles. The RV was taken to Napa Auto Care, where the front tires were replaced. Additionally, the mechanic informed the contact that the tires failure was due to the clamps and tie rod end on the right side of the steering wheel being loosened, causin…
Driver side wiper sweep angle does not fully clear the field of view.
The contact owns a 2023 Thor Motor Coach Vegas. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, the awning unintentionally deployed. Additionally, an unknown part from the awning had detached. The RV was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000. The VIN was not available.
1. Problem: main power (connect) switch doesnât communicate It shows there is power to the coach but IT DOES NOT SHOW whether or not the main power is connected to the chassis (motor) battery. I have been stranded with a dead chassis battery because of Thorâs neglect to use a communicative power switch. Safety issue because one could be camping in an area without emergency start services because of this. 1. Thor is aware these improper power switches in the 2018 (and in other model years) are non communicative and can leave people stranded. Thor has admitted the 2018 switch is wrong and corrected the switch in the2022 models (I confirmed this at the dealer). They have admitted fault. 3…
Hood hold down locks have no arms to engage into the body inorder to prevent the hood from opening. No attachment the hood cauld result in it opening up and hitting the windshield.
The contact owns a 2021 Thor Motor Coach Vegas Motorhome. The contact stated that while her husband was driving 63 MPH, the electric shade on the driverâs side front detached and fell off the motorhome. The contact had to hold the electric shade up until they were able to pull over at a gas station. The plastic clips that held the electric shade were fractured. The contact unclipped the electric shade and later attached it with zip ties to secure it in place. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact to make an appointment with a dealer to replace the plastic clips with metal clips and it would be covered under warra…
WE WERE TRAPPED IN OUR RV AT THE GAS STATION. WE WERE PARKED AND ATTEMPTING TO EXIT TO GET GAS. WE PULLED THE DOOR LATCH (MANUFACTURED BY TRIMARK CORP) TO EXIT BUT THE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN. THE PLUNGER WOULD NOT RETRACT FROM THE LOCK POSITION. EVENTUALLY WE WERE ABLE TO USE A KITCHEN KNIFE AS A SCREWDRIVER (SINCE OUR TOOLS ARE KEPT OUTSIDE OF THE MOTOR COACH) TO REMOVE THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY. WE THEN HAD TO PRY THE PLUNGER TO THE INSIDE TO DISENGAGE IT. WE WERE THEN ABLE TO PUSH THE DOOR OPEN IN ORDER TO EXIT. FROM THAT POINT WE HAD TO USE THE DEAD BOLT TO SECURE IT CLOSED.
DRIVER'S SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER DOES NOT CLEAR THE DRIVER'S FIELD OF VIEW. THE WIPER ONLY COMES TO ABOUT THE 2 O'CLOCK POSITION LEAVING A LARGE PORTION OF THE LEFT FRONT OF THE VEHICLE OBSCURED. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN REPORTED TO THOR MOTOR COACH BY OWNERS OF THE VEGAS AND AXIS MODEL MOTOR COACHES
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.
It has been discovered the dash radio in-line fuse was installed with the incorrect fuse size. Production installed a 5A fuse when it should be a 15A fuse. The undersized fuse greatly reduces the surge allowance during normal operation. The wire for the dash radio is 14 gauge and is compatible with a 15A fuse.
BMPro made an unintentional change to their programming at some point in MY2026 that affects the generator functions while the ignition is on. Currently the AGS and START GENERATOR buttons are grayed out while the ignition is on. The generator can be started with the ignition off and then it will stay running when the ignition is turned on. It just canât be started with the ignition already on. The AGS automatically disables, if itâs already enabled, when the ignition is turned on as a code requirement. However, with the current programming, it canât be reenabled once the ignition is on.
2021 â 2023 Axis/Vegas may have a Bluetooth mic that is not installed.
Axis & Vegas emergency start harness issue. The two inline fuses are on the post with the chassis battery cable and they should be with the coach battery cable.
The steel tube backer in the coach floor may not have been installed in the correct location to adequately secure the gray water holding tank underneath the 2021 24.3 Axis & Vegas motorhomes. This procedure is to be used to add a âÂÂZâ bracket to the bottom of the rear-most cross member in the chassis of the 24.3 Axis/Vegas product. This new bracket is intended to replace the âÂÂZâ brackets that are currently installed near the top of the tank above the cross member because of inadequate backer in the unit floor
On your vehicle, it may be possible that the engine cover insulation does not fully extend to the perimeter of the factory engine cover. In addition, vehicles built on a Ford chassis may have higher engine compartment temperatures during certain idle conditions. This may result in elevated temperatures at certain areas of the engine cover surface in the passenger compartment on both driver and passenger sides. Direct and continuous contact with exposed skin at these locations may cause skin irritation and/or a minor burn. This affects the following Thor Motor Coach products: model year 20

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.
On November 23, 2020, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened PE20021 to investigate allegations of inoperative Trimark THP 060-1650 door lock/latches originally equipped on model years (MY) 2015-2017 Class A and Class C motorhomes.ODI received forty-six Vehicle Owner’s Questionnaires (VOQs) describing consumers being locked in or out of their vehicles. In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2014–2026, owners most often name: structure, unknown or other, visibility/wiper. 12 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
