On March 13, 2026, just 8 days after purchasing a new 2026 Thor Rize motor coach built on a RAM ProMaster 1500 chassis, the driver-side rear wheel completely detached from the vehicle while traveling approximately 60 mph on Interstate 15 in California. I observed sparks in my rearview mirror and immediately pulled over due to fear of fire, especially given the presence of a propane system. This was a sudden and dangerous failure with no warning. The vehicle was towed and I was later informed that a critical component in the wheel/rotor assembly had failed. The vehicle was undrivable and required transfer to a RAM dealership with no clear repair timeline. Due to the severity of the safety …
Propane line from tank has multiple stress cracks from improper installation, whereas, the line was installed with the hose bent too tightly and without sufficient flexing to prevent cracks and leaks. The multiple cracks caused a severe propane leak with all related propane equipment becoming inoperable due to the severe danger.
NHTSA has previously issued a recall on the failed LP hose on Rise/Scope vehicles 21V-755. For some reason, my vehicle/VIN was not included in the recall. Nevertheless, I experienced the identical failure described in the recall, but I take exception to the recall pointing to the tight bend in the hose being the issue. My hose is literally disintegrating for the full length of the hose. It appears that the rubber is defective. My vehicle had about 7500 miles on it and hadn't been driven in bad weather when I experienced the leak. Photos are attached. I think NHTSA should revisit this recall and ensure that it is expanded to include all vehicles that might have this part, plus not blame t…
This unit is a 2024 Thor Rize class B RV on a 2023 Ram Promaster chassis. The FCW frequently and regularly turns off and will not reset. The FCW light illuminates and appears to affect other random electrical systems that also illuminate. I can manually reset it in the safety settings sometimes but regardless, it shuts off at will. This event is constant in all road, weather and driving conditions. This is a severe safety issue that appears to have been a Ram problem for years now. This is unacceptable and needs immediate and urgent intervention. In the event of an accident, whereas, this system is malfunctioning, I will immediately seek legal actions.
The generator sits 5 inches from the ground below the rear axle. It is not protected with any encasement, bump stops or axle shims. Please see Bulletin TSB-21-06 for using parts kit #0503506. I have contacted the dealer and manufacturer about this and the say that there was no recall on my vin# for this. They have not offered to do anything about my concerns. The dealer inspected before I purchased the vehicle on 10/21/2003. My concern is the generator will hit a bump and tear off and hit the driver behind me.
The solar panel mounted by Thor on top of the van detached and flew off while I was driving on the highway and encountered cross wind. From what was left on the solar panel bracket, it looks like there were cracks in the metal around where the bolts were attached for a long time. The solar panel brackets were very loose and floppy allowing the panel to move while the vehicle was in motion or under high wind.
2021 RAM PROMASTER/ 2022 THOR RIZE 18M RECREATIONAL VEHICLE. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO VEHICLE NOT BEING LEVEL AFTER TSB REPAIRS WERE MADE. THE CONSUMER STATED EVERYTHING SLANTS FORWARD SEVERAL DEGREES DUE TO GENERAL RV JACKING UP THE REAR END OF RV TO ENSURE THE GENERATOR AND BATTERY TRAY DIDNT HANG BELOW THE REAR AXLE.
This vehicle is built on a 2021 Ram Promaster and was modified into a class B camper vanâ¦a 2022 Thor Rise 18M. On 2 recent occasions driving at low speeds the outdoor electric awning moved in and out about 6 inches on its own while I was driving. Luckily, I wasnât traveling fast and both times I was able to pull over to check it to make sure it stopped and had rolled back in to its closed position before driving again. I contacted the manufacturer and local dealer who checked it but they did nothing since they couldnât replicate the issue. Itâs only happened twice since Iâve owned the vehicle and I have driven it about 9,000 miles. However, this could be a deadly situation if it ha…
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.
BMPro made an unintentional change to their programming at some point in MY2026 that affects the generator functions while the ignition is on. Currently the AGS and START GENERATOR buttons are grayed out while the ignition is on. The generator can be started with the ignition off and then it will stay running when the ignition is turned on. It just canât be started with the ignition already on. The AGS automatically disables, if itâs already enabled, when the ignition is turned on as a code requirement. However, with the current programming, it canât be reenabled once the ignition is on.
The interior lower panel of the sliding door may become loose and pull or warp away from the chassis sliding door. Adding snap buttons will resecure the interior panel flush to the door.
The seatbelts for the rear, side facing seats may be too long for some passengers.
Revision to TSB 22-09 adding additional steps to make the repair easier and a time adjustment was made for the repair time.
Rize/Scope A/C not installed correctly.
The Generator and battery tray hangs down below the rear axle line of the vehicle and may contact road obstacles, such as speed bumps, at low speeds.

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2021–2026, owners most often name: equipment, unknown or other, electrical system. 12 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
