During our last trip ending October 22, 2025 I had smelled propane from the bed occasionally when slide was out. I checked obvious components and found no propane leaks. After returning home and during winterization (Oct 26) I carried out a more comprehensive search for a possible propane leak. With the slide in (normal position when driving) I found the two propane hoses that supply range and water heater pinched and chafing on the slide wall. I can smell the propane slightly from area where lines are pinched. I feel if hoses are not replaced and continued use of rv a greater concentration of propane will constitute an unsafe condition. I have not had any other inspections other than myself…
The vehicle is a 2018 Thor Freedom Elite 28LE. The incident occurred when the exterior LP gas connection ( for gas grill connection) dislodged and the gas line drug on the pavement. I don't know exactly how long it was loose before I discovered it - could have been four hours. The hose fitting ground almost completely off and was leaking propane when I found it. Approximately two gallons of propane had leaked out (full tank is nine). My issue of the manufacture is that the hose had no additional security other than the connection at the door assembly and when it failed the hose made contact with the ground. Fortunately for me the fittings were brass and did not cause a fire or explosion. I …
UNKNOWN: ABS INOPERATIVE Light, Traction Control INOPERATIVE Light, Hill Assist Unavailable Message, Cruise Control unavailable. I have also reported this under the Ford F53 Chassis, since I have found that many different makes and models of gas engined motorhomes built on the Ford F53 Chassis have the same issue that has been unrepairable for several years.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford E-450. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the parking brake light remained illuminated, causing the ABS to become inoperable. Also, the message "Service Advance Trak" was sometimes displayed disabling the ABS and the cruise control. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,000.
IN DECEMBER 2020 WE HAD JUST RETURNED FROM A 2 WEEK TRIP WHEN I NOTICED EXTENSIVE WATER DAMAGE UNDER THE MATTRESS OF THE REAR BED. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, I PULLED THE MATTRESS BACK AND THERE WAS A INCH GAP BETWEEN THE BACK EXTERIOR WALL AND THE BED FRAME. THE GAP WAS COMPLETELY THROUGH TO THE GROUND BELOW. SO WE TOOK THE UNIT THE THE LOCAL CAMPING WORLD FOR REPAIR (ASSUMING IT WOULD BE UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WE PURCHASED) AND IT WAS FOUND THE THE UNIT WAS NEVER PROPERLY SECURED TO THE FRAME AND FASTENING POINTS. THE ENTIRE UNIT HAD SLID BACK OFF THE FRAME MORE THAN 1 INCH. THIS SHIFTING HAS LEFT SEVERAL GAP ALLOWING WATER TO NOT ONLY ENTER THE BACK BED AREA BUT THE ENTIRE BUNK ABOVE T…

A BICYCLIST ALERTED US AT 0630 THAT OUR RV WAS ON FIRE AS IT SAT PARKED, OFF AND UNPLUGGED IN OUR DRIVEWAY. WITHIN MINUTES THE ENTIRE RV WAS IN FLAMES AND WE EVACUATED OUR HOME SECONDS BEFORE THE RV EXPLODED ABOUT 5 FEET FROM OUR BEDROOM WINDOW. 7 FIRE TRUCKS RESPONDED. MBAG has determined that on certain model year 2019-2020 Sprinter vehicles, the retaining washer on the bolt that connects the brake pedal to its bearing block could come loose. If the retaining washer were to come loose, over time it could detach from the bolt, and in the worst case and with ongoing use of the brake pedal, the bolt might separate from the bearing block on one side. If this were to occur, the brake lamp switch could become continuously activated even when the brake pedal is not pressed. If the brake lamps are continuously illuminated, it would not be possible for followin

According to the tire manufacturer, Continental Tire the Americas (CTA), the affected tires may have an overcure condition and CTA has initiated a safety recall for these tires. According to CTA, overcured tires may experience a carcass break in the sidewall with sudden air loss or could develop a belt edge separation which could lead to partial or full tread/belt loss. These conditions may increase the risk of a crash. This affects the following Thor Motor Coach products: model year 2019 Quantum & Freedom Elite, 2019/2021 Daybreak & Four Winds, and 2019-2021 Chateau motorhomes.

If ESP control unit functions are disabled, vehicle driving stability may be impacted under certain driving conditions, increasing the risk of a crash. This affects the following Thor Motor Coach products: model year 2013-2020 Chateau Citation & Four

On your vehicle, it may be possible that the engine cover insulation does not fully extend to the perimeter of the factory engine cover. In addition, vehicles built on a Ford chassis may have higher engine compartment temperatures during certain idle conditions. This may result in elevated temperatures at certain areas of the engine cover surface in the passenger compartment on both driver and passenger sides. Direct and continuous contact with exposed skin at these locations may cause skin irritation and/or a minor burn. This affects the following Thor Motor Coach products: model year 20

Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2026, owners most often name: unknown or other, equipment, vehicle speed control. 10 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
