What Thor Motor Coach Compass owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Thor Motor Coach Compass safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.

While driving at highway speeds (70 mph+/-), my diesel powered vehicle 'derated' (I believe that is the term) for no apparent reason. An engine light came on related to a DEF system malfunction. I can provide the code later. My vehicle instantly went from 70 mph to 15 mph on a crowded interstate, on an inside lane. With some difficulty I managed to make across three lanes to the shoulder and turned off the vehicle. After a quick inspection, finding nothing obvious, I proceeded down the shoulder to a gas station. I tried to top off my DEF tank, but it was full. After an hour the engine light went off and the vehicle drove normal. So I'm back on the highway. I went another hour, the engine li…
There is an issue with the dash of this vehicle. The dash AC button does not work at all, and the pre collision is not working either. The Ford dealerships local to me refuse to even look at it, even though there is a recall on this exact issue, put out by Ford. Recall 22S65. Getting Ford to do anything for you is a joke. There is one dealer in the entire state that works on Ford chassis rv's and they are refusing to even take appointments at this time.
When this RV is driven in temperatures above 91 degrees it will suddenly and without warning have a major loss of power. Vehicle will not drive above 55 mph even though it was on cruise at 68 mph. Has been to over 6 Ford dealers in 3 years and no one can find the issue. very dangerous since it has to be on the road for this event to occur.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 THOR COMPASS. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO EXIT THE RECREATIONAL VEHICLE, THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE FAILED TO OPEN THE DOOR. IN ADDITION, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW GLASS FELL OUT OF THE WINDOW FRAME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 375.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.
It has been discovered that certain model year 2025-2027 Gemini & Compass 22MT, 2025-2026 Eddie Bauer 22ET, the AGS is not monitoring the state of battery charge. The AGS is ONLY monitoring the air conditioning demand. A Firefly software update is required.
Wood stiles are delaminating due to the vendor changing the glue used for the wrapped stiles.
This is the print that is associated with the previous submission for TSB 22-08. I forgot to attach both documents
Gemini/Compass E-start is not wired correctly.
This splitter sends the backup camera signal to both inputs of the monitor. Without it you can only view the camera in reverse, not while driving down the road.
Original Ford USB in dash is non-functioning. TMC uses an upgraded radio in place of the Ford OEM radio, and this USB is no longer supported.
Gemini/Compass emergency start harness issue. One solenoid wire is spliced into the wrong circuit.
MBAG has determined that on certain model year 2019-2020 Sprinter vehicles, the retaining washer on the bolt that connects the brake pedal to its bearing block could come loose. If the retaining washer were to come loose, over time it could detach from the bolt, and in the worst case and with ongoing use of the brake pedal, the bolt might separate from the bearing block on one side. If this were to occur, the brake lamp switch could become continuously activated even when the brake pedal is not pressed. If the brake lamps are continuously illuminated, it would not be possible for followin

On certain model year 2012â 2018 5-ton Sprinter vehicles that were upfitted into campers or recreational vehicles (âÂÂRVsâÂÂ), one or more of the rear-wheel speed sensors may experience an electrical failure, which potentially could lead to a disablement of the Electronic Stability Control (âÂÂESPâÂÂ) control unit functions. NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.
On November 23, 2020, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened PE20021 to investigate allegations of inoperative Trimark THP 060-1650 door lock/latches originally equipped on model years (MY) 2015-2017 Class A and Class C motorhomes.ODI received forty-six Vehicle Owner’s Questionnaires (VOQs) describing consumers being locked in or out of their vehicles. The door latch, containing a die-cast zinc plunger, was produced by Equality during calendar years 2014-2016. The die-cast may become

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2016–2025, owners most often name: engine, fuel/propulsion system, electrical system. 4 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
