We have been experiencing multiple issues with the electrical system in our RV. There was a serious safety event to took place, where the wiring box under the bed created smoke and we could smell plastic burning. When investigated by my husband, he found that the box under the bed that housed all the wires for the RV had burn marks on the inside of the box and the wires and wire caps had melted. Then we started having issues with the generator not working, and were unable to use the generator. We had to pull the generator and taken it too a generator repair shop and found that the wires inside the generator were melted and were told it was unrepairable. The dealer that we purchased the RV fr…
Air conditioner compressor wouldn't engage in rv. Called a mobile technician. Mobile technician found burnt and melted connectors on the control board. Technician stated the connectors used for 120v power were 12v crimp connectors and had burned and melted from the amperage. Technician stated that these used connectors were illegal to use for 120v. This is a safety concern and could result in a fire. Stated we were lucky the control board melted and didn't result in a fire and burn down the coach.
The splines on the wiper arm connecting to the wiper motor control studs are stripped out on both the passenger and driver sides, rendering the wipers ineffective during rain. When driving at highway speeds, the only course of action is to pull over and wait for the rain to stop. I visited an RV repair facility, a Ford dealership parts department, and a diesel parts business to find a replacement. All three businesses confirmed that the wiper arm is irreparable and needs to be replaced.
I purchased the motorhome from Fraserway RV in Kamloops, BC. The vehicle was sold to me as a new unused unit in November 2023. While turning into a strip mall parking lot from a small service road, we were travelling at around 5-10 KPH. My wife and I heard a very odd low "thud" type of noise coming from somewhere in the motorhome. We parked in the mall parking lot and began to look for the source of the noise. We were unable to find anything so we assumed perhaps something in a cupboard had shifted. We purchased some groceries and my wife decided to move some frying pans from under the cupboard sink to the oven drawer. The oven drawer is covered in a glass type material. When my wife opened …
The contact owns a 2018 Thor Ace RV. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle suddenly veered to the right and the driver was no longer able to properly steer the vehicle. A mobile mechanic was called to the location and diagnosed that the front passengerâs side wheel bearing had failed and needed to be replaced. The mechanic stated that the wheel bearing failure was due to insufficient lubrication within the wheel bearing. The front passengerâs side wheel bearing and spindle were replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was later taken to the local mechanic who discovered that the front driverâs side wheel bearing was also failing due to insufficient lubric…
The initial brake pedal press is soft and travels nearly to the floorboard. A quick subsequent press of the brake pedal, or "pumping the brakes," changes the pedal travel and sensitivity. This condition has eluded repeated repair attempts by the service center and the chassis manufacturer's team of engineers. The chassis manufacturer has sent its engineers to the service location for hands-on evaluation and repair attempts, to no avail. Parts replaced during the service center's repair attempts include the calipers, pads & rotors, brake lines, brake master cylinder, brake booster, ABS unit, and many quarts of brake fluid. Safety is at risk for the driver as well as others due to inconsis…
Rear Sway Bar Bracket manufactured from weak cast iron. Known problem and FORD will do nothing to fix it except to replace with same faulty part.
Returning home from trip, route US I26 in NC, heading down 6 degree hill lost all speed control. The following dash lights came on: ABS, Engine Service, the Wrench, anti sway control. We were able to roll to the side of the road just before an entrance ramp. There was no acceleration control.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.
During production, the FM antenna was not included on the new 32â Connex Entertainment TVs (TMC Part # 484102). These TVs have a built in radio tuner, and the reception will be poor without the antenna
On your vehicle, the rear axle may contain an inadequate volume of lubricating oil. An inadequate volume of rear axle lubricant may result in rear wheel bearing damage potentially leading to bearing seizure. Bearing seizure may lead to rear axle or driveshaft failure. A rear axle or driveshaft failure may result in loss of vehicle motive power, loss of transmission park function, and loss of parking brake function, increasing the risk of a crash. This affects the following Thor Motor Coach products: model year 2021/2022 Ace, Challenger, Freedom Traveler, Hurricane, Miramar, Outlaw, and Wi

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.
On November 23, 2020, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened PE20021 to investigate allegations of inoperative Trimark THP 060-1650 door lock/latches originally equipped on model years (MY) 2015-2017 Class A and Class C motorhomes.ODI received forty-six Vehicle Owner’s Questionnaires (VOQs) describing consumers being locked in or out of their vehicles. The door latch, containing a die-cast zinc plunger, was produced by Equality during calendar years 2014-2016. The die-cast may become

No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
