I am filing a formal safety complaint regarding a severe electrical failure and fire hazard inside the fuel tank of my 2015 Nissan NV200, directly related to Safety Recall PMA56 (NHTSA 25V676000). The dealership performed the recall service but refused to replace the fuel pump module, claiming no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) were present. Experiencing ongoing symptoms, I purchased an OEM replacement fuel pump and extracted the original module myself. Upon disassembly, I discovered: 1. Severe Electrical Arcing/Thermal Damage: The fuel level sender ceramic card, contacts, and internal harness connectors were completely charred, carbonized, and melted due to an active short circuit/extreme t…
My vehicle received a Nissan recall repair for a fuel pump/fuel tank temperature (FTT) sensor harness defect that can short-circuit and blow the fuel pump fuse, causing a stall. About three weeks and 350 miles after that repair, the engine stalled unexpectedly while driving on a public road, creating a crash risk. An independent shop diagnosed it: fuel pump fuse blown, FTT sensor fault code present, no fuel pump activity on key-on-engine-off test. Replacing the fuse got it running, but the fault code stayed pending, meaning the underlying issue wasn't fully resolved. This is the exact failure mode the recall was meant to prevent, occurring right after the recall repair â suggesting the re…
Open recall called to fix fuel pump assembly due to fuel pump fuse blowing and engine shutting off, which my vehicle did, however I was charged by the dealership to replace fuel pump. Called nissan directly and still didn't get reimbursed 0

The contact was provided an estimate for the repair; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V676000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The failure mileage was 95,703.
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan NV200. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V676000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), and the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair; however, the dealer informed the contact that the interior of the modified vehicle needed to be emptied at the owner's expense, prior to the recall repair. The dealer informed the contact that the modified floor was covering the easy point of access to perform the recall repair. The contact stated that the modifier of the vehicle had modified the vehicle in collaboration with the manufacturer, and the manufacturer had advertised a similar modified vehicle at an international car show. The contact st…
The manufacture is unable to provide the fuel pump need to comply with recall notice.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan NV200. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where an unknown air bag recall repair was performed; however, the failure recurred a week later. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the technician who performed the recall repair was on vacation. Additionally, the contact was informed that there would be a charge for a diagnostic test to determine the cause of the failure. The contact declined to pay for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.
On 9/25/25 I was driving through a green light in Baltimore MD. The streets were grand view and w cold spring lane . A driver ran the red light from my left side and hit me so hard he totaled my 2014 NV200 cab edition. The air bag did not deploy , instead it shot out steering like like missle and hit me in face causing a concussion that led to overnight hospitalization to get cat scan and MRI.. the airbag also cause a permanent burn on right knuckle and lacerations, and damage to my neck from whip lash reacting to being hit unexpectedly by first car then air bag projectile. The air bag hitting me face caused more damage to my body than actual accident which caused severe lower back pain and …

From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited. The rapid burning can cause the inflator to rupture during deployment, potentially causing serious or even fatal injury to vehicle occupants. See 20

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2013–2021, owners most often name: air bags, fuel/propulsion system, unknown or other. 34 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
