The contact owns a 2026 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated that the vehicle was towed to a dealer due to ongoing electrical issues. Prior to towing the vehicle, the radio failed to turn off, and the engine failed to shut off while attempting to turn off the vehicle. Upon inspection, the dealer diagnosed the vehicle with battery failure. The dealer attempted to disable the radio, rearview camera, side-mirror warning signals, and advanced safety systems to prevent the battery drain; however, the software did not provide the option to turn off the features selectively. The dealer turned off the display screen as the fix. The contact had experienced an electrical failure with another similar ve…
the truck is acquired new with a factory installed 110 Inverter and 2 outlets, one inside the passenger compartment, and one in the truck bed. i was investigating issues i have with some devices not working properly when use with the truck supplied 110v power.. i used a residential outlet tester on each outlet and found that the polarity of the outlet inside the passenger compartment had the hot & neutral lines swapped, creating a potentially dangerous situation.. if one were to have something plug into both outlets and touch both items you could get voltage across the body.. also it is possible to get voltage from an item plugged into the incorrect outlet to the vehicle frame ( ground). als…
While driving my 2026 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X at highway speeds, the vehicle intermittently loses the ability to accelerate. The engine remains running, but pressing the accelerator produces no increase in vehicle speed or engine RPM. No warning lights or diagnostic messages appear when the condition occurs. This creates a significant safety risk because the vehicle cannot maintain or increase speed in traffic. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized Nissan dealer on three separate occasions. The dealer was able to reproduce the condition but has not identified a cause or implemented a repair. The defect remains unresolved and continues to present a safety concern.
My 2025 Nissan Frontier SV with 4,300 miles is experiencing an ongoing drivetrain issue related to the driveshaft and transfer case. There is a defect related to these parts that results in the drivetrain binding causing the vehicle to have rough shifting and at times, lunge forward when braking to a stop due to the drivetrain binding and then releasing. This makes me weary to drive the vehicle because it may lunge forward and cause a collision or affect my ability to stop in a emergency. There is also an audible metal clunk shearing noise that accompanies this issue when the binding finally releases. My vehicle has not been at the dealership twice and there only solution is to grease the sp…
My 2021 Ford Explorer appeared to maintain or resume speed without cruise control being activated. Braking and switching cruise off did not reliably stop the behavior, and speed varied by as much as 15 mph without my input. My concerns are: * apparent speed control when cruise had never been activated; * continued propulsion after braking; * apparent cruise operation after its dashboard indicator went out; * inconsistent response from the SET/accelerate control; * fluctuations approaching 15 mph I drove the Explorer on 9/18/26 on the interstate for a few hours and cruise control was bananas. The vehicle was clearly using cruise control, even though I had not turned it on. Even after I wo…
I own a new 2026 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X equipped with the original Hankook Dynapro AT2 tires. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I began experiencing a noticeable vibration at highway speeds, primarily between approximately 70 and 78 mph. The vibration is most noticeable around 72-74 mph and can be felt through the vehicle, particularly through the seat. I brought the vehicle to a Nissan dealership for diagnosis. The dealer determined that one of the tires had an issue they described as a broken or defective internal belt. During road-force balancing, the affected tire measured approximately 41 lbs of road force, which is significantly higher than expected. The tire was still relatively…
Started rolling in park, then would not start towed to dealer , no word and no help!!!!

Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2026, owners most often name: power train, electrical system, air bags. 719 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
