Vehicle stalls out at highway speeds. It will be in gear, shown on the dash, it will be redlining, but not move. It will stall out while the vehicle is in motion. The accelerator does not provide power to the transmission and acts as if it is in neutral. All I can do is coast to the side of the road and power off the car, open the door to provide a full power down, then restart the vehicle. This has happened over a dozen times since August 2025. Mercedes says there is no fix. Itâs been in the shop more than 10 times for over 60 days. They have even sent out field engineers who cannot duplicate the issue, yet there are codes stored in the cars computer. The car also does not always shift in…
The contact owns a 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG GLB35. The contact stated that while reversing down the driveway at approximately 4 MPH, the contact turned the steering wheel to the left and the vehicle started losing motive power. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent and occurred at slower speeds between 3 and 6 MPH. The contact researched online and relat…
On 4/13/25 while driving my car on the highway, along with my 2 young children, I began to hear what initally sounded like a "flapping" noise. I rolled the windows down and after a minute or 2 the sound got lounder. There was never a warning or any type of safety icon that appeared on the control panel, nor any driving performance issue before hand. Shortly after the initial noise I could tell the car was struggling to accelerate. I wasn't near an exit during this time and began to panic in fear the car would shut down and I had no safe place to pull over on that stretch of highway. The noise turned into a banging within another min or so and I finally noticed an exit up ahead. Almost immedi…

I was driving home on a residential street at approximately 30 MPH. I heard a loud pop or bang sound coming from the top middle area of my windshield. I checked for any windshield damage, observed none. I thought the whole noise strange as nothing had hit my car or windshield. A couple days later I noticed that the glass panel between the windshield and sunroof, was completely shattered, with a horizontal crack running across the panel. I also noticed that the framing between the panel and windshield was not right. It sort of was "popped" outward. There was no warning regarding this failure. I had hand washed the vehicle 3 days prior and everything looked fine. I have had conversation…
According to a MB USA representative, the warning light instructing me not to drive over 50 miles per hour was related to my suspension. In addition to the warning light, I have repeatedly expressed my concerns about a loud creaking noise coming from the wheel area while driving, turning the corner, pulling in and out of driveway, etc. However, South Bay Mercedes is never able to duplicate the noise or identity the warning. I have also contacted MB USA on multiple occasions and they confirmed that I have three (3) open cases, but refuse to provide me with the case number and fail to respond as stated during each call. The suspension warning light has been coming on, intermittently, a few mon…

Complaint Slight creaking noises when steering. Cause Noises may come from one or more sleeves of the horn contact plate. Remedy Remove the horn contact plate and check the sleeves for noise; see attached video. If necessary, apply lubricant to the sleeves.
Complaint Repeat workshop visit for vehicle vibration while braking from 60MPH. NOTE: Although the symptom is similar to a tire or wheel vibration, it is usually readily noticeable that it is distinctly different if it happens at all times or only while braking. Cause Although the cause of the vibration is most likely due to excessive lateral runout on the rotor or hub/wheel bearing, the system as a whole needs to be checked for other possible contributors. 1. Prior collision damage. 2. Excessive vehicle sitting times without rotating components. 3. Wheel bearing/hub lateral runout. 4. Wheel m
Complaint Radio station cover art does not refresh when switching stations. The UI continues to show the old stationâs artwork instead of updating to the new one. Cause When a new station change request is triggered, a temporary glitch is causing the Head Unit application to fail to overwrite the previous request. This glitch is causing the cover art mismatch in the Radio application. Remedy Please do not replace any parts. Please update the Head unit software to E505.9
Complaint Clanking noise from the area of the speakers in the doors. Cause Under analysis. Complaint Intermittent shift feel or thud/clunk noise perceived, such as a brief jerk or transmission reaction during certain driving situations. May be most noticeable when transitioning from a coasting condition to accelerator pedal application. May occur in all drive modes. Cause Dualâclutch transmissions (DCT) inherently exhibit more dynamic shifting behavior compared to other types of transmissions. This is due to the use of physical clutches for starting and gear changes. In certain situations, dynamic driving behavior can lead to a slight jerk sensation which is a normal technical cha

When performing a quick test, the following fault code is stored in Y3/14 â Transmission control for 8âspeed dualâclutch transmission (DKG): P24F100 The wakeâup line of the control unit has a short circuit to positive. Complaint Frequent rear view camera flap actuations and/or noise associated. NOTE: Rear view camera functions are NOT affected and still perform in accordance with regulatory requirements. Cause Calibration of the reversing camera is in progress. This is not a malfunction, but an intended system behavior. Remedy An optimization has been implemented to reduce the quantity of rearview camera flap actuations for calibration. Open an XSS case requesting addition of the option code "0O1" (Zero, "O", "1"). Once the option code has been added, perform the below based on which option codes the vehicle

Complaint Tailgate opens unintentionally. Cause Accidental or unnoticed activation of the button to open the tailgate on the vehicle key. EXAMPLE: when stored in trouser pocket, handbag etc. Remedy As of the 6th generation, the vehicle key can be recoded so that the tailgate no longer opens as a result of a long press on the button, but by doubleâclicking on the button instead. This reduces the likelihood of the button being activated accidentally or unintentionally. The recoding can be carried out as follows: 1. Add SA Code O19 into VeDoc (O for Oscar, not "zero") ⢠an XSS ticket may be n

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2020–2026, owners most often name: power train, engine, service brakes. 10 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
