The rearview mirror fell off when I lightly knocked with my sunshade. The Mazda dealership reattached the mirror when the car was in for an oil change. But then a year later, the same thing happened. I took my car to get an oil change at our regular mechanic and they re-attached the mirror, but then it fell off in my hand a week later when I tried to adjust the mirror. I took the vehicle back to the dealership to get the mirror reattached and they quoted me $105 to reattach the mirror. From my research on YouTube and Reddit, this is a common flaw of Mazdas and I do not believe I should have to pay to reattach a rearview mirror. I tried to reattach it myself, after watching YouTube instructio…
For the past 2 years there has been a severe parasitic battery drain issue that drains that battery partially or in some cases completely ruins new batteries. Car has spent a cumulative total of 3 months with a dealer trying to find the source. 5 batteries in 2 years and often times need to jump start the car. Car has been at dealer dozens of times and they have been unable to resolve issue. In looking online many others with same problems
Abrupt acceleration while pushing the gas pedal, erratic tachometer. Stays at the same speed for a while when gas is pushed at highway speeds then accelerates abruptly. Vibration and noise during park. During highway driving, merging and passing got risky. Bought the brand new car on 7 September, immediately followed by these issues, got the car towed to the dealership on 10 September. Still in service who confirmed most of the issues were reproduced. No warnings in the console. Today is 16th. The last time I was contacted by the service was 11th. Was not given a timeline.
The contact owns a 2023 Mazda CX-30. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the vehicle experienced erroneous Lane Assist and Brake Assist failures, causing the vehicle to drive into the wrong lane. The vehicle experienced acceleration and braking assist failures. Occasionally, the vehicle failed to immediately start. The vehicle was serviced by the dealer on several occasions, and the battery was replaced. Additionally, the transmission and transmission pin failures persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 45,000.
The vehicle is experiencing premature transmission failure, since about 9,000 miles. Mazda has been dropping the ball at replacing it under warranty and we found out there are 3 other CX-30s that I know of with similar issues. I believe Mazda has a faulty transmission in these cars based off my findings and other complaints.
I am writing regarding my 2025 Mazda CX-30, purchased brand new with 0 miles on [XXX]. The vehicle currently has 22,000 miles. I am extremely concerned about the reliability and, most importantly, the SAFETY of this vehicle. August 29, 2025: I brought the vehicle to the dealership after receiving a recall notice. My service slip states only âperformed Software update,â with no details regarding the recall. Refers something about the engine being left on over 2 hours will loose power. Mileage was 9,650. [XXX]: The check engine light came on. I was told the vehicle was leaking oil and that it was not a major concern per a 20+year old technician. The dealership replaced the REP Tensioner B…
My car was squeaking and lurching around 3/4 gear. I took it in to the Mazda dealership (Northtowne Mazda in Kansas City) and they told me it was a "well-known issue" with this year and make of a Mazda. There is a problem with the torque converter lock-up clutch which sheds iron particles into the transmission fluid. The torque converter needs to be replaced. After further research, it appears that Mazda has a well-documented manufacturing defect that is outlined in Mazda TSB 05-005/23. My car has a 60,000 mile/5 year warranty on it. It currently only has 48,600 miles on it (well under the warranty limit). I called the Mazda Corporation Customer Care and they opened a ticket but I was told …
What is happening with my car are the exact symptoms of the known Mazda Recall 6824H - where the Smart Brake Support suddenly engages for no reason and when it does not need to - which has almost caused me to be rear-ended a few times. This has happened at least 7-8 times since I have owned the vehicle. Apparently, my VIN does not fall under the cars that Mazda reports for the Recall, but nonetheless, my car is still malfunctioning as the Recall describes, which is a safety issue for me. The Recall also states: "Due to an improper program setting, affected FSC (cameras) were not updated from production mode to normal mode. As a result, all three systems described (HBC, SBS, LAS) will not w…
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2020–2026, owners most often name: engine, unknown or other, electrical system. 253 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
