Noticed cracking sound when opening and closing front drivers door. Subsequently discovered same issue on Ford Edge (recall in place) and many other owners having same problem (FaceBook posts).
Door check is broken in high winds the door pulled out my hand. Could have injured someone of that person was standing near the opening path of the door.
Transmission jerking/ stuttering in lower gears under 35 mph.
right sideview mirror folds and unfolds without warning. On two occasions while driving on the interstate mirror folded on its own. While car was parked and turned off right side mirror folded on its own. My safety was at risk because I couldn't see oncoming cars while trying to get off road to address the problem. Took vehicle to dealer and was told that there wasn't a problem. Has not been reproduced at this time. Vehicle has not been inspected at this time, have appointment to have vehicle checked by dealer although I was already told by dealer that there wasn't a problem. No warning lights.
The Lane keeping assistance has failed multiple times when the car enters an intersection and the lines on the road are broken by a gap due to a turn. To situations occurred where the car aggressively entered oncoming traffic lane and I quickly directed the car back to the correct lane. Lane keeping assistance seems to be very touchy. Howâs youâre going down the road you can fill the car moving from side to side if the lanes happen to have lines painted in and out the car almost seems to follow them exactly. The car does not allow for minor changes in the painted lines. Thereâs a shuttering when accelerating at all times I believe this is a torque converter issue. Ford service the veh…

Since day one from the purchase of this vehicle, I have been experiencing seatbelt issues. This car was purchased for my work. Itâs a commercial Livery vehicle, but I am suffering each day with complaints from riders and every time it goes to the dealership I am losing time and income. I have lost my confidence in this car. This car was bought for peace of mind but all I have ever experienced is nuisance, hassle, loss of time, suffering, [XXX] complaints and complete loss of confidence. I did not expect this from a new vehicle. The seat belts constantly twist, fail to retain proper tension/positioning, and rattle heavily against the trim. The authorized Lincoln dealership service depart…
Both of the front doors have developed loud popping noises while opening and closing. A temporary fix was done by Lincoln on the passenger front door (at my expense) and the driver door is not having the same issue. Vehicle not under warranty now, so cost to me will be >$4000. Based on discussions with Lincoln body shop personnel and web search, this is a problem that has occurred with other Ford Vehicles, particularly the Escape. IF not fixed, web says internal spot welds on the door check bracket can break, causing a loud popping noise when the door opens, potential window track damage, or the door check separating from the door frame. So the door could fall off in extreme cases..... B…
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.
Some 2024-2026 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit a shudder/chatter/vibration from the rear drive unit (RDU) during low-speed turns. This may be due to a concern with the output planetary assembly.

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.

Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2019–2026, owners most often name: power train, electrical system, unknown or other. 253 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
