What Lexus TX owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Lexus TX safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.

The contact owns a 2024 Lexus TX 500H. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed the "Hybrid System Malfunction" warning light illuminated. The contact stated that several days later, a secondary warning light illuminated for the battery failure. After the third failure, the "Hybrid System Malfunction - Contact Dealer" message was displayed. Additionally, the vehicle failed to start and was jumpstarted. The vehicle was towed to the dealer on several occasions for the hybrid battery and related electrical warning failures. The contact stated that there was excessive heat inside the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 21,000.
The car emits very strong gas fumes into the cabin during longer drives. You can taste the gas. Has happened over 5 times. Submitted for service multiple times; on the 4th time, they were finally able to "recreate it". And the dealer confirmed the issue. No warning or check engine lights came on.
I am reporting a severe, systemic vehicle performance discrepancy on my 2025 Lexus TX 350h (2.4L Turbo Hybrid powertrain). The vehicle is officially labeled with an EPA rating of 23 MPG combined. However, under normal, conservative driving conditions, the vehicle routinely achieves only 17-17.7 MPGâa consistent 26%+ shortfall from the manufacturer's certified window sticker metrics. I have never gotten EPA higher than 17.7 since owning the new car. This has drastically limited the vehicle's safe total driving range to under 300 miles per tank. The shortfall persists despite cautious driving in Eco Mode and after passing the engine break-in period. This issue matches a widespread pattern re…
Odometer Fraud: The contact owns a 2024 Lexus TX 350. The contact stated that a mileage discrepancy was discovered. The vehicle was a dealer sale. The contact discovered information indicating that the vehicle was a cloned vehicle. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 39,000; however, during a service appointment, it was discovered that the vehicle mileage was 41,800.
The contact owns a 2024 Lexus TX 500H. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 MPH, the vehicle drove over glass in the roadway that struck the air conditioner condenser. Approximately two weeks later, the air conditioner failed to blow cool air. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was determined that the A/C condenser was damaged by the debris, causing a coolant leak. The dealer stated that the condenser needed to be replaced. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Action Number: DP26006 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 37,000.
I am reporting a severe, systemic vehicle performance discrepancy on my Lexus TX 500h (2.4L Turbo Hybrid powertrain). The vehicle is officially labeled with an EPA rating of 27 MPG combined. However, under normal, conservative driving conditions, the vehicle routinely achieves only 20 to 21 MPGâa consistent 20%+ shortfall from the manufacturer's certified window sticker metrics. This has drastically limited the vehicle's safe total driving range to under 300 miles per tank. The shortfall persists despite cautious driving in Eco Mode and after passing the engine break-in period. This issue matches a widespread pattern reported by numerous other owners in consumer forums, pointing to a poten…
I am reporting a recurring potential fuel-system/EVAP safety issue with a 2025 Lexus TX 350 (same as Toyota Grand Highlander). On FIVE separate occasions (May, 6/27, July, 8/14, and 9/8/2026), I experienced an overwhelming raw gasoline odor associated with visible vapors coming from the fuel-filler/gas-cap area. Three incidents occurred after refueling; the two most recent occurred WITHOUT recent refueling and with less than half tank full. On 8/14, with temps in the 90s and approximately 135 miles to empty, I drove 30â40 miles, idled approximately 45 minutes, then drove another 10 miles. The overwhelming gasoline odor and visible vapors occurred again. On 9/8, at approximately 108°F an…
I had my foot on the brakes waiting at a red light. The car just started jerking back and forth. It didnât stop until I released my foot off the brake.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.
A battery in a stored vehicle is subject to conditions that can reduce its performance and service life. These conditions include storage period, temperature, parasitic drain, and battery load. Because of these factors, battery inspection and maintenance are required to ensure proper operation and optimal battery life.
During the manufacturing process, tires are mounted on the vehicle as matched sets to help reduce conditions such as pulling or drifting. If the wheels are replaced or refinished before vehicle delivery, it is important that the tires remain on the vehicle in the same location and in the same direction of rotation.

Long-term or off-site storage requires special care to maintain vehicle condition. The following guidelines should be implemented to minimize vehicle component/part degradation due to extended vehicle storage conditions. Long-term storage can affect a vehicleâs systems and components. Any problems that are found should be corrected immediately.

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2024–2027, owners most often name: unknown or other, air bags, electrical system. 91 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
