On August 22, 2026 while driving my 2024 Range Rover Evoque, both passenger side tires suddenly blew out without any prior warning. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) failed to alert me at any point that tire pressure was low. I did not hit any road hazard or curb. The tires simply failed without warning. Prior to this incident, the vehicle had a documented history of electrical malfunctions including randomly dying and locking me out. The vehicle was serviced at Land Rover of Darien approximately 4 months before this incident and the battery was replaced at that time. My insurance claim was denied as the adjuster could not determine why the tires failed and indicated the cause may…
The contact owns a 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The dealer was contacted by phone and made aware of the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was confirmed and was associated with an unrepaired recall. The contact was advised not to drive the vehicle. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V248000 (Electrical System); however, the part was not available for the recall repair. The failure mileage was approximately 101,500.
While driving my 2013 Range Rover Evoque, the hood unexpectedly opened and flew upward, striking and shattering the windshield and significantly obstructing my visibility. I was able to bring the vehicle to a stop without colliding with another vehicle or object and was not injured. There were no warning lights or messages that I recall indicating that the hood was not properly secured before it opened. The cause of the hood opening is currently UNKNOWN and the vehicle has not yet been inspected to determine whether the hood latch or related mechanism failed. The vehicle and hood/latch components are being preserved for inspection. I subsequently learned that Land Rover has issued technical …
I am submitting this complaint regarding a potential safety defect involving windshield water intrusion on my 2017 Range Rover Evoque. My vehicle is experiencing water entering the passenger and driver's compartment through the windshield/sealing area. This is not ordinary cosmetic wear or damage to the windshield. The concern is that the windshield is not properly preventing water from entering the vehicle. There's also malfunctioning with the display screen which seems to be a direct result of water leakage. Land Rover previously issued Service Action N221 concerning windshield water leaks on certain 2015â2018 Range Rover Evoque vehicles. I contacted an authorized Land Rover dealership r…
My vehicle is affected by Safety Recall D126 / 26V-248. The vehicle has already experienced the recall failure: loss of charging, stalling while driving, and now it will not crank at all. The dealership is refusing towing, refusing to document the safety failure, and refusing Transportation. Corporate has also refused assistance. I am left without a vehicle and unable to work. This is an unsafe condition and a violation of federal recall obligations.
The contact owns a 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the vehicle stalled and then failed to return to normal operation. The failure reoccurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed; however, the cause of the failure was not found. The messages "SOS System Inoperative" and "Battery Charging Failure" were displayed on the instrument panel, and the stability control became inoperative. The dealer stated that an engine temperature indication defect was detected, the battery lost power, exterior lights became inoperative, the vehicle indicated that the doors were open while the doors were closed, and …
The contact owns a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH, the air bags in the vehicle unexpectedly deployed and the front passenger side wheel, hub, and the ball joints detached, causing the vehicle to flip over. No warning lights were illuminated. A Police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and was later declared a total loss. The contact stated that two occupants inside the vehicle sustained injuries. Medical attention was sought. The passenger was transported by ambulance and sustained a chest contusion, cuts, bruises, and gashes on the head. The driver sustained chest and rib contusions, cuts, bruises, and gashes…
Ongoing battery and or electrical issues. Replace battery 3 times in 2 years. Car loses power. Replace Body Control module, tail gate lock. Car was in repair for 2 months and Never told an exact reason except there is an electrical gremlin. Dealer and manufacture could not determine cause. I have videos. Dealer was not interested in viewing. Only doing the scheduled service. Which did not fix or work as intended.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.
From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited. The rapid burning can cause the inflator to rupture during deployment, potentially causing serious or even fatal injury to vehicle occupants. See 20

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2011–2026, owners most often name: engine, electrical system, unknown or other. 390 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
