The contact owns a 2025 Keystone Raptor RV. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 MPH, the rear passengerâs side top 14-foot awning suddenly detached from the RV, landing on the side of the road. The RV was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The manufacturer provided a new awning and an installer to install the replacement awning. The awning was replaced, and it was determined that the original awning had not been installed correctly. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.
The contact owns a 2022 Keystone Raptor. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V082000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE, EQUIPMENT). While inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed a circular opening had melted on the side of the RV. The local dealer was contacted; however, the dealer refused to perform the recall repair because the RV was not purchased from the dealer. The contact stated that it was a 40-mile drive to the nearest dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact that a supervisor would be in contact. The failure mileage was unknown. VIN tool search not available.
Upon attempting to leave campground at approximately 10am on April 19, 2025, unplugged electrical from RV and switched over to gas. The Norcold refrigerator caught fire within minutes of the switch over (apparently in the amount of time it took the gas to travel from the tanks to the fridge). Fortunately, I was able to disconnect the gas hoses from the tanks immediately upon noticing the flames and we were able to douse the fire with extinguishers. However, the RV has suffered some damage to the vents, and the fridge is fried. There was also a strong stench of ammonia, and we evacuated the area momentarily until it dissipated. I have made multiple attempts to include emails and completing …
Component failed: while traveling at 65 mph on [XXX] the black tank (waste tank) fell from its mounting brackets and hitting the road way. At the time approximately 10 gallons on clean water was in the tank. No warning or way to know it dislodged from its brackets. I was flagged down by a passing motorist. How was your safety at risk: Routed under the waste tank there are approximately 12 power wires, generator fuel lines (connect to 30 gallon fuel tank) and propane lines. (120 gallons), When i came to a stop and surveyed the damage along side the road, i realized my generator was running, caused by arching/shorting wires. I had numerous hot wires sparking and arching. the tank fell…
On or around 7/02/2022, while on a trip out to the black hills, during a stop I noticed a crack had formed in the side wall of the Keystone coach. After some investigation, this appears to be a known issues with Keystone fifth wheels as indicated by the Keystone KSB -180328 Sidewall Crack Repair instructions. Over the past year, I have had varying responses from Camping World, my extended Warranty company and Keystone about the issue. This is caused by improper weld joints on the frame resulting in the slide separating from the frame. Camping World has not been able to work with the warranty company Portfolio on the issue, and Keystone has stated that they will not participated because t…
The axle hanger weld on the passengers side of the 5th-wheel broke and the axle shifted forward in which the tires rubbed together while doing driving on the highway. Luckily we stopped to get gas when this was noticed. If we had not stopped for gas the situation could have been very bad up to and including death. We have pictures and still have the part if inspection is requested. We were in the middle of nowhere TX and stayed overnight at an RV park near next door to the gas station. The next day we spent 2 hours contacting mobile RV companies and welders to come look at and fix the damage. The damage was looked at by TW welding and construction as they were the only company available …
The contact owns a 2021 Keystone Raptor RV. The contact stated while operating the vehicle, there was an abnormal fuel odor inside the RV. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the fuel lines from the generator to the fuel tank had contacted the axle causing a failure to the lines and causing fuel to leak. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure and the contact received parts to repair the failure. The repair was performed however, the failure reoccurred. The failure mileage was 3,000.
I WAS IN MY RV AT APPROXIMATELY 10AM IN THE MORNING, AT A CAMPGROUND. I NOTICED A SMELL OF ELECTRICAL BURNING IN THE LIVING AREA OF THE RV. IT WAS A COLD MORNING, AND HAD OUR ELECTRIC FIRE PLACE ON AT THE TIME. WE ALSO HAD OUR HEAT STRIP IN OUR ROOF TOP AIR CONDITIONER ON AS WELL. THE BURNING SMELL BECAME STRONGER AS THE MORNING WENT ON. I THEN BEGAN TO INVESTIGATE WHERE THE SMELL WAS COMING FROM. IT APPEARED TO BE COMING FROM OUR FIREPLACE, WE THEN REMOVED IT PLACING IT OUTSIDE. I PLUGGED THE UNIT IN OUTSIDE TO SEE IF THE SMELL WAS COMING FROM THE FIREPLACE. THERE WAS NO SMELL FROM THE FIREPLACE. I WENT BACK IN TO THE CAMPER, THE SMELL WAS STILL PRESENT. I INVESTIGATED FURTHER, AND THE SMEL…

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2025, owners most often name: tires, electrical system, structure. 31 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
