What Keystone Alpine owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Keystone Alpine safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.

UNKNOWN The frame and wall of the RV seem to be separating. This is called frame flex in the industry. We are having the RV inspected to be sure. If this is confirmed it could put the passengers and others on the highway at risk. There were no warnings with the exception of physical seeing the damage before a professional inspection was done.
The contact owns a 2022 Keystone Alpine RV. The contact stated that upon delivery, the RV pipes were frozen. Additionally, the contact stated that the driver's side and the top large windows were shattered in the living room. The back wall had separated from the kitchen counter back wall. The solar panels failed to charge. There was water pouring from the belly of the unit. There was vibration while pulling RV. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where the parts were replaced under the warranty after 280 hours. The mobile technician came to repair the frozen pipes. The manufacturer was contacted by letter, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was unknown.
Bent/broken frame. We are stranded in Northern CA. The unit is available for inspection. This RV is not safe to be on the road. The insurance company told is that it is non-drivable. See our story below: We have a 3 year old Keystone Alpine 5th Wheel. The frame is bent and cross members are broken. We do not know how it happened. There has been no accident, collision, we didn't run over anything that we recall, no sharp turns or anything that we can recall that would have caused this. We have reached out to Keystone. I literally had to call them and email them every day for 2 months to try to get any kind of answer. They came back and said that the problem is not theirs. That the issue m…
On or about August 2021, the front frame flexed, causing the body to crack from both front slides lower forward corners going forward. Camper was taken to RVOutlet in Longs SC (now Blue Compass RV)to be repaired in September of 2021. The front frame section was found to be cracked, and was repaired per Keystone TSB procedures, repairs completed in February 2022. These repairs are documented by Keystone, however, I do not have a copy of the repair invoice as the dealer was sold and the computer systems changed, as I was advised I could not get a copy of the repair invoice. This was the first long trip, over 300 miles, the unit had been on, and the frame failed, has not shown any issues thus…
I purchased a 2022 Keystone Alpine 3720MD fifth wheel RV from Bish's RV in Anderson, Indiana (Modern Trailer Sales at the time) in February of 2023. Starting in early 2024, I noticed a crack starting to form in the fiberglass exterior wall on the driver's side of the RV originating from the lower left-hand corner of the opening for the master bed slide. Over the past 7 months, that crack has continued to grow in length as well as get wider over time. I am very concerned about the structural integrity of the underlying frame of the RV as I have read about many other owners of Keystone Alpines experiencing "frame flex" problems with their 2022 RV's. I have submitted pictures of the problem…
Unit has suffered damage to the chassis due to frame flex. An attempted repair was made by the manufacturer during the winter of 2023/2024 but again failed during the summer of 2024. RV was taken to a local dealer where a âFlex testâ was conducted, unit failed the test as it exceeded the manufacturers tolerances. Unit has since been parked at the dealership while I battle the manufacturer on an attempted solution. This frame flex and failure is industry wide and affecting many RVâs.
The pin box is moving separately from the framework. What this means is the structure the holds the pin box is starting to fail which could cause the camper to separate from the truck when being pulled down the highway which could cause injury or death to people on that highway. It's a known defect
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-250 hauling a 2020 Keystone Alpine equipped with HiSpec Tires, Tire Line: JURL4, Tire Size: ST235/80/R16, DOT Number: 041JUHPRL. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH and going uphill, the front driverâs side and rear passengerâs side tires sustained blowouts. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The tires were original equipment. The vehicle manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The tire manufacturer was notified of the failure. The tire failure mileage was 7,000. The vehicle failure mileage was 43,000.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2026, owners most often name: structure, tires, electrical system. 47 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
