There is an emissions recall on this Jeep; it is currently at the dealership for the repairs. In order to reach the part that must be replaced in order to complete the recall, there is a bolt that is sheared off. The dealership is telling us that we have to pay $3,800 in order to replace the head, because of the bolt being sheared off. This bolt must be removed in order to complete the recall but they are refusing to do this repair at no cost. They cannot do the recall work without removing the bolt. The part the bolt is connected to will have to be replaced. We should not be financially liable to pay for this since it is part of the work required to complete the recall. We've spoken …

When I put the car in reverse sometimes it takes it about a minute for my backup camera to appear on the radio screen. I am not able to take my vehicle in for inspection since I have no babysitter or another vehicle while it is getting looked at. Also my tire pressure system light came on saying the tire pressure system needs serviced and it won't show my tire pressures just dashes.
Under normal driving conditions, coolant rapidly started leaking from the engine, and vehicle started overheating. UNKNOWN component failure, vehicle is currently at an independent service station. No warnings prior to overheating.
Engine oil leak. My mechanic found an engine oil leak that is very substantial. I have spoken to several other Jeep renegade owners who have stated that theirs is also leaking. These need to be checked out by an authorized deal ASAP due to the danger of fire. I smell burning all the while I am driving it and constantly adding oil. Mine is a 2022 model Jeep renegade and I have owned it since 2024. I need to have this repaired or Ill need to get rid of it. I think the dealership I bought it from knew there was a problem but neglected to inform me as I would not have bought it.

I was driving down the interstate at a low speed due to traffic being backed up and my vehicle started stalling as I was driving at a lower speed. The week before I was driving at a low speed in a parking garage and my vehicle stalled while driving. And I was at a stop sign a couple months ago and it stalled on the hill. It's also stuttered trying to merge on the interstate. Other vehicles same year and model have been recalled but mine has not been included. Also the vehicle has trouble starting all the time.

No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
