I am filing this complaint regarding my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee and safety recall 89D (NHTSA Campaign 26V562000). My vehicle is currently experiencing abnormal driving behavior that has caused me to have a legitimate safety concern regarding the vehicleâs suspension. The vehicle does not drive normally, and I am concerned that the condition may be related to the component addressed by recall 89D. I have contacted both the dealership and the manufacturerâs recall/customer assistance department multiple times seeking to have the vehicle properly diagnosed and to determine whether it is safe to operate while the recall remedy remains unavailable. Initially, I was advised that I could ta…
OnXXX at approximately 915 am I was making a LEFT hand turn across 3 lanes of 422, when the vehicle appeared to have a serious electrical failure and complete shut down as nothing on the vehicle was working and I was unable to immediately exit the vehicle. I was about 3 ft out into the intersection facing oncoming traffic going the opposite direction. The vehicle was towed to Preston Dodge/Jeep in New Castle PA. On Sept 16th I received a text message stating the problem had been fixed, the problem being "the positive terminal not being fully seated thus creating a powering down situation." I picked the vehicle up, and another significant electrical incident occurred at 3am on XXX while drivi…
Pedestrian Alert/Forward Collision light warning always on after over the air update. Manufacturer removed option in settings to disable this feature and warning light has been on since this over the air update. Dealer has attempted repair however fix only works for a few weeks and then reverts. Over the air update also disabled paddle shifters, caused language on vehicle to switch to italian, and changed units of measure for speed and tire pressure. This is a blatant safety issue as it is not apparent to driver that speed settings have changed. The inoperable forward Collision system risks the public and passengers safety. The fix provided by manufacturer is temporary and does not resolve t…

Issue is still on going, climate control, including front and rear defrosters are non-functional. Odometer is flashing, climate control on the touch screen says 'Climate off'. This is the 5th repair attempt for this vehicle.
I am the owner of a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. I received notification of Safety Recall 89D, NHTSA Campaign 26V-562, regarding a rear coil spring that may not be correctly installed and could detach from the vehicle while driving, creating a road hazard and risk of crash or injury. I contacted my dealership to schedule the repair. I was told the recall remains open and is listed as "Incomplete, parts unavailable." The dealership was not able to give me any timeline for when the replacement parts would be in stock, and I have received no communication from the manufacturer with an estimated repair date. I have no indication from Jeep as to when parts will be available to complete this repa…
I was driving on the highway on 9/23/2026 at approximately 5pm CST. A disabled vehicle ahead warning flashed on the dash and I experienced sudden, unprompted high RPM surges while driving. My car started making a very loud engine sound and I could smell something burning. I could not surpass about 20 MPH. I put on my hazard lights immediately and pulled off the highway and drove to a safe space. My safety and others were put at severe risk because my car immediately slowed to 20MPH on a highway at rush hour. I could have been rear-ended and severely hurt at the speed cars behind me were traveling. Others in the cars behind me could have been badly hurt as well. I couldn't get initial…

No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
