While driving down the road at about 45mph, the driver side upper cabin window located adjacent to the eating table exploded and blew into the cabin. The window shattered and glass blew throughout the cabin area. Whatever caused this, the blast was strong enough to pull the Velcro straps holding the seat cushions blown off and the glass ripped the cushion's vinyl. If someone had been sitting at the table, they would have been extremely cut and hurt and possibly blinded. I had no warning to this situation. At first, I thought someone had shot out the window, but I nor the RV repaired found no evidence. Vehicles were passing me and I assume a rock or some other item was picked up and blo…
After a recent purchase of a new 2026 Jayco Greyhawk 29MV RV, I discovered my 2 cats trying to enter a previously unknown and unfinished opening adjacent to a designated sleeping/play area of my RV in the cab overhead. One of the cats was panicked as he was stuck in the opening. The opening is very difficult to see unless you climb well forward into the sleeping area for closer examination which I did not do before my purchase. The area contains a very long area of sharp, unfinished and in some places splintered fiberglass edging that actually goes the entire distance around the window opening. Since this easily accessible area is intended for sleeping/playing, a curious child could atte…
The contact owns a 2020 Jayco Greyhawk. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the window glass detached from the RV. The contact pulled off the roadway and discovered that the emergency escape window had shattered. The contact stated that the window was not impacted by an object. The RV was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the RV was not yet repaired. The RV was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V337000 (Visibility). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000. The VIN was unavailable.
Automatic transfer relay over heated creating a fire hazard. It's location under the bed prevents seeing the fire until it is burning. The switch is available for viewing. The rv carries 50 gallons of gasoline and 50 lbs propane a fire could cause collateral damage. This specific problem has not been inspected by a dealer or others. There was no danger warning. This is not an isolated incident on rv group websites there are many reports of this happening. No one to my knowledge has determined the cause of the malfunction that causes the fire risk they seem to just replace it with another relay. The way I found out about the malfunction was when there was no shore power to the unit, i checked…
In January 2021, while traveling at approximately 65 miles per hour on a Chicago area tollroad, my motor home suddenly began violently bouncing up and down in the rear. I immediately began to slow and move to the shoulder, at which time I observed the outside left dual wheel separate from the vehicle and roll into the dividing median wall. I managed to get to the shoulder on the remaining wheel, which was also damaged beyond repair. After towing and repair, the total cost was approximately $3200. The technician was unable to determine why the wheel had suddenly broken loose. In August 2021, while traveling at approximately 60 miles per hour on an Illinois Interstate highway, I felt the …

Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2027, owners most often name: structure, unknown or other, equipment. 19 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
