Our Jayco 166fbs trailered RV'S fresh water tank fell out of our rv on a camping trip to northern Michigan. On August 10th while on the way to Glen Arbor Mi while at a stop in Clare Mi it was noticed that there was a very large puddle of water where the RV was parked. Upon further inspection it was found that the two of the three straps that hold the 55 gallon fresh water tank by sheet metal screws had broken and caused the tank to fall and break the connections. .

While having a routine oil change at the local dealer, the contact was informed that the brake fluid reservoir could not be opened because the brake fluid reservoir was not accessible. The dashboard of the cab was placed directly on top of the brake fluid reservoir cap. The dealer was unable to remove the cap. The contact was informed by the dealer that a hole could be cut int the dashboard to create an access for the brake fluid reservoir cap. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was pr…
Our Alante's front reading lights and dome light over the bunk quit working. We found a blown fuse, new fuse blows immediately. Repair shop found wires crimped, chafed, some cut clean through by rubbing on fiberglass structure. Problem is a manufacturing defect. The installer routed the wires improperly and the inspector never caught it. These wires were shorting-out behind an enclosed area. In the interest of Safety, taking into consideration the fact- arcing/shorting wires could easily start a fire that would be impossible to extinguish (fire would be inaccessible without tools) we feel a complaint is justified. Photographic evidence available Vehicle has been repaired Manufacturer is unc…

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2016–2026, owners most often name: structure, unknown or other, electrical system. 20 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
