Vacuum pump on the motor that supplies vacuum to the brake booster. We have replaced this pump (Isuzu PART #: 97241035) on this vehicle 3 times in less than a week. These parts were Isuzu brand and the exact part number for our VIN and application. Went to hit the brakes, the brakes were not working and extremely hard to press, and not slowing the truck down. Driver ran into another vehicle. Yes, the problem has been reproduced multiple times by our internal tech and local Isuzu dealer. Also can be found on different forums with exact issue (see attached). Each time the part has failed, we have sent it back to dealer. No prior warning until the brakes were applied and not working.
MY SIX-YEAR-OLD ISUZU TRUCKS GAS TANK STARTED TO LEAK WHILE IT WAS PARKED IN A HEATED GARAGE. THE FUMES IN THE MORNING WERE VERY STRONG AND I VENTED THE AREA PRIOR TO FEELING IT SAFE TO START THE TRUCK. THIS TRUCK HAS THE SAME GAS TANK THAT WAS IN THE 2008 ISUZU TRUCK THAT I HAD AND IT HAD A RECALL ON THE TANK. WOULD YOU LOOK INTO THIS HAZARDOUS SITUATION AND SEND ME YOUR RESULTS. THE VIN NUMBER IS-------------------------------- THE REPAIRS COST ME THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS BUT KNOW ONE AND NOTHING ELSE GOT HURT
THE LATCH THAT HELPS HOLD THE CAB IN PLACE (THE CAB FLIPS TO GET TO THE ENGINE) HAS POPPED A COUPLE OF TIMES WHILE DRIVING. THE CAB STAYED IN PLACE BUT IT IS DISCONCERTING TO HEAR ABOUT ONE OF THE PIECES THAT HOLDS THE CAB IN PLACE POPPING.
WHILE FILLING THE FUEL TANK, WHEN FUEL REACHES THE TOP OF THE TANK, IT STARTS SPILLING OUT OF THE TOP OF THE TANK. I BROUGHT THE TRUCK TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC, AND HE SAID THE TOP OF THE TANK IS RUSTED AND ROTTED OUT

I HAD MY 2015 ISUZU TRUCK TOWED FOR SERVICE TO THE ISUZU DEALERSHIP (1463 US-22, MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ 07092) WHERE I LEASED IT. EVEN THOUGH THE TRUCK WAS BROUGHT IN DUE TO A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE THAT WAS COVERED UNDER THE TRUCK'S WARRANTEE, THEY FORCED ME TO SPEND OVER $1000 ON A NEW TIRE AND MANY OTHER "NEEDED" REPAIRS SO THE TRUCK COULD PASS FEDERAL INSPECTION. UPON PICKING UP THE TRUCK, IT HAD NO INSPECTION STICKER AND THEY SLAPPED ONE ON IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES AND COULD NOT HAVE INSPECTED THE TRUCK. WHEN THE TECHNICIAN FINALLY CAME OUT TO MY PROPERTY AT 206 TYLER ROAD, EDISON NJ 08820, HE TOOK THE TRUCK FOR SHORT TEST DRIVE AND UPON RETURNING HE INFORMED ME THAT THE TRUCK HAD A PROBLEM W…

We have received reports of the front turn signal lenses cracking on Isuzu vehicles. These lenses are cracking from the effects of being washed with alkaline detergents. Alkaline detergents are typically used in industrial settings and are reactive with the paint, metals, and other materials used to make up the exterior components of Isuzu vehicles. Isuzu recommends that only neutral detergents be used when washing Isuzu vehicles. However, if alkaline detergents are used to wash an Isuzu vehicle, it is crucial that all traces of the detergent are rinsed away with water or wiped off a

Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2020, owners most often name: engine, unknown or other, fuel/propulsion system. 15 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
