Component Affected: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE: DELIVERY: HIGH PRESSURE PUMP Description of the Safety Hazard: My 2022 Hyundai Palisade has developed a catastrophic failure of the engine-mounted High-Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP). The insulating foam cover is completely saturated and leaking raw, liquid gasoline directly on top of the engine block. The fuel system is unable to maintain rail pressure, causing severe pre-detonation engine knock ("pinging") and mechanical stumbling during acceleration. Furthermore, there are visible electrical flashes/short-circuit arcs occurring in the engine bay directly adjacent to the high-pressure liquid fuel leak, presenting an imminent vehicle fire hazard. Active…
Vehicle purchased new in August 2026. Within 80 miles, it began experiencing a recurring electrical fault causing simultaneous warnings across the steering, braking, and driver-assistance systems (DTCs C28C586, C164286, C181486, C181483, logged via Hyundai's Bluelink diagnostic system). The fault has recurred at least 9 times between 80 and 1,121 miles despite three repair attempts (8/28/26, 9/8/26, 9/14/26), including one escalation to Hyundai's national TechLine (Case #2026091700002) referencing TSB 25-GI-016H. Each repair was declared successful, and the identical fault returned within days each time. During active occurrences, dashboard alerts have included "Check Driver Assistance Syste…
Door handle peeling or chipping. The metal is sharp and have warn every person that works on my vehicle. I have spoke to dealership while back they stated that it would not be fixed. Vehicle developed a check engine light and underwent warranty repair, during which all six fuel injectors were replaced (Repair Order #1HWS5031079, dated 7/8/2026, 33,768 miles). Despite this repair, the check engine light returned, and the vehicle subsequently developed an intermittent hard-start and no-start condition â in some instances the engine would not start on the first attempt and required a second attempt. The vehicle was returned to the dealership for a second repair visit (Repair Order #1HCS55031999, dated 7/28/2026, 34,090 miles), during which the dealership considered multiple possible causes, including a sensor issue and fuel-related concerns, before completing the repair. …
Dealership is stating that they donât have a firm date to repair or recall on seatbelt buckles. Original notice was sent in September 2025. The day before we were scheduled to have service in March/April of this year they called and canceled today they put us on the schedule for December but I have not sent anything as to us for sure having those buckles available we were told when they canceled our first appointment that new vehicle vehicles were being prioritized over used vehicles that were already on the road.
Was driving down our road and when we came to turn onto the main road the vehicle would not turn. Backed up to avoid traffic then tried proceeding forward again and would not turn or was only turning very little that it did not make a difference. After a few attempts, powered the vehicle off then back on and all of a sudden could turn the wheel again l.
The seatback in my third row was reclined and failed to return to an upright position when attempted to be folded. Additionally, I observed that the belt buckle was damaged, which resulted in a cut wire within the buckle mechanism. Safety concern: It is strictly prohibited to permit any individual to occupy the third row. The vehicle remains under the custody of the dealership and its service department. Despite having possession of the vehicle for two months, no replacement or acquisition of the required part has been completed. No warnings or messages about the buckle.
The sunroof opened crooked and would not close. After several attempts to close the sunroof a piece of the frame broke.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.
Updates have been made to your vehicle Ownerâs Manual regarding the instructions for the second- and third-row power seat operation.
The vehicle may experience Over-The-Air (OTA) update failures due to outdated Central Communication Unit (CCU) software.

Certain 2020 â 2025 model year Palisade vehicles may exhibit engine oil leakage at the engine oil filter housing assembly due to deterioration of the housing seal. At Hyundai, we are committed to providing vehicles of outstanding quality and value. In an effort to meet this commitment, the warranty coverage for the Engine Oil Filter Housing Seal under these conditions has been extended to 15 years/180,000 miles from the date of original retail delivery or date of first use (whichever occurs first) and is valid for original and subsequent owners.
Some Palisade Hybrid (LX3 HEV) vehicles may exhibit continuous engine operation due to the vehicle being unable to enter EV/HEV modes. The vehicle may initially start in EV/HEV mode, but will quickly transition to running the engine only and will not revert back to EV/HEV mode. The âEVâ light may intermittently flicker on, but the vehicle will not change modes. This bulletin provides instructions to perform the âEvaporative Leakage Testâ function on the GDS to enable EV/HEV mode activation.

Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2020–2027, owners most often name: seat belts, service brakes, unknown or other. 2,448 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
