What Honda Crosstour owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Honda Crosstour safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.

ABS Module failure causing anti-lock braking and tractional control issues due to known manufacturing defect with failed solder connections
The contact owns a 2015 Honda Crosstour. The contact stated that the vehicle intermittently failed to immediately start and made an abnormal grinding sound while starting. The vehicle was taken to the dealer twice, but no cause for the failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with the starter. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Driving on [XXX] with my [XXX] plus son in the back seat on car babysitting seat. Was turning right to next lane for exit, the steering wheel got stiff, very hard to turn like locked up then airbag suddenly deployed immediately car went to left side hitting the curb. An aftermarket ignition interlock device installed in my vehicle requires ârolling retestsâ while the vehicle is in motion. During these rolling retests, the device alerts the driver and requires a breath sample within a short time window. To complete the test, the driver must physically pick up and handle the handheld unit and blow into the device while driving. This requirement creates a driver distraction because the driver must remove at least one hand from the steering wheel and divert attention from the roadway in order to complete the breath test. This procedure appears to conflict with Pennsylvaniaâs hands-free driving law, 75 Pa.C.S. §3316 (Paul Millerâs Law), which prohi…
An aftermarket ignition interlock device (Intoxalock eLERT model) installed in my vehicle repeatedly malfunctioned and disabled the vehicleâs ignition system, preventing the vehicle from starting and operating normally. The device was installed on October 6, 2025 as part of a state ignition interlock program. The first malfunction occurred only four days later. The device has malfunctioned multiple times since installation. The most serious failure occurred in March 2026 when the device would not power on at all. Because the device controls the ignition relay, the vehicle could not start and became completely inoperable. The vehicle had to be towed to the service center that installed th…
I first experienced the ABS, Traction Control, and Brake warning lights on December 20, 2025, while driving. I knew something was wrong because whenever I turned the steering wheel, braked hard, or drove over potholes, all three lights would come on and remain lit for about a minute. Each time I turned the car off and restarted it, the lights would disappear. However, if I drove the vehicle for an extended period, the lights would eventually come back on. At first, I believed the issue was related to my brakes. I ordered new brakes and rotors and had them installed by my certified mechanic. Unfortunately, about an hour after the repair, the ABS, Traction Control, and Brake lights came on ag…
The contact owns a 2015 Honda Crosstour. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start intermittently. The contact stated that several attempts were needed before the vehicle started. The failure had occurred 5 times. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic, who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the starter needed to be replaced. The starter was replaced, and the vehicle operated as needed temporarily, before the failure reoccurred. The contact had discovered a TSB for the failure of 2013 and 2014 model vehicles. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000. The VIN was not available.
Complaint Summary: Steering system failure remains unresolved after Honda warranty repair. Complete loss of electric power steering. Complaint Details: I experienced a sudden and complete loss of electric power steering on my 2013 Honda Crosstour V6. The EPS warning light illuminated, steering effort increased drastically, and vehicle control at low speeds became difficult and unsafe. The vehicle was brought to a Honda dealership, which replaced the EPS control unit under Hondaâs warranty extension 19-036. However, after the repair, the power steering is still completely inoperative. The same original diagnostic trouble code (DTC 32-09) returned immediately, showing that the underlying d…

This SKU is a Front Upper Ball Joint. The customer communication requested return of unsold inventory to inspect for the outer diameter of the ball joint housing being too small. The outer diameter being too small would prevent the part from being installed, and would therefore have no impact on the end user besides time to complete installation.

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2016, owners most often name: electrical system, power train, steering. 162 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
