What Heartland Cyclone owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Heartland Cyclone safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.

We were driving north on [XXX] from Albuquerque to Aztec, NM driving between 65 and 70 mph. There was no debris in the road and the tire on the passenger rear axle blew out. The tread separation tore up the side skirt and trim. I checked the tire pressure on the other 5 tires and all were inflated to the recommended PSI. 3 of 4 Sendel T07 rims had cracks in the rim spokes. Yes it is available for inspection. 1 tire overheated and delaminated at highway speed and after further inspection of remaining rims replaced them before tire damage occurred. Had I not inspected the remaining rims it could have caused a major accident resulting in injury or death. I had TPMS sensors installed but due to not having it blow out there was no warnings. I just happened to see it happen in my mirror and immediately pulled off. I have sent pictures to the manufacturer and they are being reviewed. This is a MAJOR safety concern.
Checked my tires, air pressure and left for a trip and on the trip the tire blew for no reason. Nothing was hit or any reason for tire to break.
I noticed the camper was not pulling straight pulled over a found the spring hangers for leaf springs had broken and others bent and frame was bent. The camper has a correct track system from Lippert co. And now from past problems was discontinued due to failures a video is out on you tube showing the hangers flexing in motion. I have frame damage an new hangers can not be installed by my welder to make repairs due to alignment issues an will not bolt up. Pics included Lippert has sent new hangers an gussets now but frame is bent. If they knew this why have they not ha a recall an now my camper is not repairable what do I do?
Before a recent trip, I noticed that one of the wheels on my trailer had cracked. I checked the other wheels, and they appeared fine, so I replaced the damaged one at my local Les Schwab. After a four-hour drive, I discovered that three more wheels had cracked. I contacted Les Schwab, and they came out to replace all the wheels and tires. While at camp, I inspected further and found that two of the frame trusses above the axle area were broken. The welds on these trusses were poor, with rust behind them. We had to repair the trusses at camp. After some research, I found this seems to be a common issue with Lippert frames. My wife was so concerned, she refused to ride in the truck while towi…
On two separate occasions I have had the door on the RV melt and crack from the door resting against the heat vent placed behind the door. The latch is NOT PRACTICAL OR SUFFICIENT. Many people go in and out and the door gets open and closed a lot. Thereâs no real visible warning except hot written on the vent in the same color. We are educated people who are aware of what the plug is for. It only took minutes for this to happen. I canât imagine if we were not there and the door was left open what would have happened. If we were inside sleeping we would have no way out either. This is a poor design . Iâm certain there is some kind of hinge that would stop it from lying flush with …
I was in the process of unhitching my trailer from my tow vehicle. The safety chains were still connected to my vehicle at this time. Once the hitch cleared the ball, the trailer rolled back slightly and the safety chains tore away from the trailer chassis. The safety chains as well as where they are bolted onto the chassis should have withstood what occured, given the fact the chains/mounting points are supposed to be strong enough to support not only the weight of my tongue(1300 lbs) as well as the force created if the trailer were to become unhitched while in transit.
The contact owns a 2021 Heartland Cyclone. The contact stated that the RV was parked at a campground charging station when the contact noticed there was dark grey smoke coming from inside of the RV under the bar area in the vehicle. The contact unplugged the main power from the vehicle and removed the fireplace station where the smoke was coming from to see that the outlet plugs and outlet box connection were burnt. The contact had a technician at the site inspect the RV and diagnosed the failure as a faulty outlet box and needed to be replaced. The contact was concerned that the failure was caused due to water dripping from the sink next to the outlet box that caused the failure. The RV wa…

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2024, owners most often name: tires, wheels, structure. 40 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
