My 2023 Genesis G70 has recurrent, intermittent engine power loss and stalling while driving, including on highways. The check engine light comes on intermittently and the engine can run roughly. After a stall, restarting can restore operation, but the issue recurs. Unexpected power loss in highway traffic puts occupants and other road users at risk. The exact failed component is UNKNOWN. The vehicle had repeated prior visits to Genesis of Auburn without resolving the concern. Southtowne Hyundai and Genesis of Newnan held it from August 19 to September 4, 2026. Repair order 184931 documents the stalling complaint and reports of misfires on cylinders 2, 4 and 6. It records multiple test driv…
I noticed my driver head light starting to get condensation after doing further research i found itâs a common manufacturer defect especially for the g70s. I took a further look by removing my front bumper & noticed 3 cracks starting from each screw on the front of the headlight mounting. after doing more research i found out itâs a common manufacture problem with over torquing the screws & after inspection thatâs exactly why my headlight lense is cracking from bottom to top, as itâs too much force where the screws are & with hot & cold temperatures plastics & such move creating them to break. my safety is put at risk due to the corrosion building in the headlight causing my blinker …
Vehicle received recall 023G (TSB 24-01-076G) on 4/30/2025 at 42,910 miles for P0088 fuel rail pressure issue, involving ECU update to high-pressure fuel pump control logic. No codes were present at that time and no physical inspection of the pump was performed â only a code scan. Vehicle had no check engine light prior to this recall. On 9/16/2026 at 46,471 miles, P0088 code returned, diagnosed at an independent repair shop. Concerned the recall fix did not address the underlying defect
The contact owns a 2023 Genesis G70. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked inside the garage, the contact discovered that passengerâs side headlight was cracked and there was moisture inside the headlight. The contact stated that the moisture inside the headlight affected the operation of the turn signal. While the indicator was engaged, the message "Blinker Compromised" was displayed, and a triangle with an exclamation point was illuminated. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that the cost of repair was not covered because the vehicle was not under warranty. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure by phone. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.…
The contact owns a 2019 Genesis G70. The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing starting issues. Additionally, while driving 15-20 MPH and coming to a stop, the vehicle stalled and lost motive power. The vehicle was turned off and restarted and was able to drive to the intended destination. The contact stated that the failure recurred and progressively worsened. While researching the failure online, the contact discovered that the failure was a common issue. The vehicle was initially taken to the dealer, where an unknown software update was performed, and the check engine warning light illuminated during the failure. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed …
Genesis sent out a map update. When it was updated, it stayed in the buffering. Mode, I cannot use my display. Phone does not work map, does not work. Navigation does not work. The dashboard speed limit does not work. Everything is in the buffering mode. Spoke to Genesis corporation complaint manager several times it's been over three weeks And they have no resolution to this problem. Never even sent out any type of email notice not to update the map because of the problem. They claim it's in all the models of the year, 2026. I feel the car is not safe. Speed limit on dashboard, not working safety issue, along with display, not working buffering. Cannot get to map navigation or phone
But it started by my car constantly burning all like a crazy amount and then I sort of having problems with like the air conditioner, not blowing cool because if I would circulate it in the car, it would not be cool and then I started having Coach go off code for my fuel sensor code for my CO2 sensor code for all different sensors every time I take it they would be trying to give me a change sensor and charging me $2000 to do this and charging me $1500 to do that and then then I find out that there is then someone finds a pipe with my turbo that is deteriorating and now they want to change that and it just keeps my motor keeps getting hot you getting excessively hot. I mean Iâm going throu…
The contact owns a 2024 Genesis G70. The contact stated that there was condensation building up inside the headlight assembly, causing the headlight illumination to be reduced, and the turn light brightness was dull. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was determined that there was a crack in the headlight housing. The dealer claimed that the crack was caused by a crash. The contact believed that the failure was a safety defect and not damage caused by a crash. The contact stated that there was a high number of other Genesis vehicle owners who had experienced the exact same failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.
Certain G70 (IK) vehicles may develop brake disc surface rust due to extended storage prior to delivery. This condition may affect braking smoothness or generate minor noise. This bulletin provides instructions to perform brake disc burnishing or machining on the affected front and/or rear brakes as necessary, to restore proper braking performance.

Some G70 (IK) vehicles may exhibit a false notification from the front Parking Distance Warning (PDW) sensors when there is no object nearby. This may occur when the parts housing the sensor become loose, causing the sensor to falsely detect objects. There is no functional effect on the vehicle other than the false notification. This bulletin provides the procedure to inspect the vehicle and apply repair(s) as needed.
This bulletin provides information related to the navigation and head unit software changes introduced in the 2026 1st Navigation Map and Software Update. The changes may vary depending on vehicle type, model, and navigation system. Refer to the 2026 1st Navigation Map and Software Update Key Improvements and Additional Improvements tables in this TSB for a list of specific changes. The software can be downloaded via Navigation Updater (NAU) and updated by USB.
Some vehicles may exhibit difficulty starting in cold weather. This bulletin provides the procedure to perform an inspection on the starter magnetic switch for potential freezing and, if necessary, replace the starter magnetic switch (solenoid) assembly.

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.
The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received eight Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) and eight Kia America, Inc. (Kia) Part 573 Recall Reports between 2016 and 2023. The combined 16 safety recalls all involve the antilock braking system (ABS) modules or Hydraulic Electronic Control Units (HECU) manufactured by the equipment supplier Mando. The Part 573 Recall Reports contain varying defect descriptions and differing remedy descriptions for the same or similar equipment supplied by Mando.

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2019–2026, owners most often name: engine, fuel/propulsion system, electrical system. 140 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
