The contact, a mobile technician from All Fleet Inc Truck and Trailer Repair was contacted to provide roadside assistance for a 2025 Freightliner Cascadia that had a check engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle went into LIMP Mode while driving. Upon arrival, the technician discovered a radiator leak. The radiator lines run along the back of the auxiliary power unit and the upper radiator hose was designed to lay on top of the electrical connector. The electrical connector rubbed a hole in the radiator line while driving, causing the leak. The technician removed the electrical connector from the bracket and secured it with a zip tie. The vehicle was then towed to the facility, wher…
I am purchasing this vehicle from a fleet sales in Pa and the left cab shock and 4 rear shock absorbers on the rear suspension I believe are severely compromised and I'm being told that they are unsure if these items are listed under DOT inspection and I am asking to have them replaced upon my purchasing of the vehicle. Will these severely rusted and damaged components passed a federal DOT inspection? I also see that they failed to have the recall repaired. Schneider Truck Sales in Harrisburg, PA is whom I am trying to purchase this vehicle from and I expressed to them that I believe these items should be replaced and repaired.
Without warning an Automatic breaking event occurred and the tractor slammed on its breaks while on open road with no one near on a sunny day. I was bobtailing south.. That event caused my AEB system to disable itself and I also lost cruise control. The funny thing is even after the system is disabled Iâm still having automatic breaking events around curves..

While driving 65 MPH, the contact fell asleep, causing the vehicle to drift into the median. Another driver approached the vehicle and sounded the horn, waking the contact, who then pulled over to the side of the road. The contact reported the incident to a manager, who suspected potential carbon monoxide poisoning and advised the contact to seek medical attention; however, a senio…

Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2027, owners most often name: forward collision avoidance, electrical system, service brakes. 223 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
