While driving down the highway, the electric Solera awning opened on its own. This caused the arms to partially rip off the side walls of the 5th wheel, the fabric to rip, and the awning tube to come off, falling in traffic on the four lane highway. There was nothing near the wall mounted switch inside, and the battery was turned off, so there was no power to the awning.
During our travels, the refrigerator popped out of it place breaking all the trim work around it. It and the trim work landed in close proximity to the kitchen island. I question as to how the refrigerator was secured in place to begin with. Apparently there is nothing, similar to what a kitchen stove has to keep it from tipping over. I don't believe, although our interstates are in terrible condition, that normal driving on the interstate should have caused this to happen. If you would like pictures of what we found when we opened the door at a refueling stop, and to take some lunch, I will gladly send the.
Docking Station Door Melting 2019 Forest River 34Mid Impression: Forest River and their infinite wisdom designed this model with the Docking Station (which is made of plastic) one inch above and directly above the hot water heater heat exhaust vent. Now we all know what heat does to plastic..... It melts it!!! When it was under warranty, they said they didn't understand why it would do this (This is where the dealers play the dumb act with you). So, you repeat yourself and it gets nowhere. Of course the dealer said they didn't design it and to call Forest River. And, of course Forest River said you need to take it up with the dealer. Everybody scratched their heads and replaced the melted…
Electrical wires melted and burnt in the unit less than 6 months after purchase. We were stopped at a stoplight when the truck alerted us to a trail service error. Upon investigation, it was found that multiple wires were burnt and melted throughout the camper box and around the battery.

Questions
What are the most common Forest River Impression problems?
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2018–2025, owners most often name: electrical system, unknown or other, equipment. 7 complaints are on record.
Is a complaint or a TSB the same as a recall?
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
How do I report a problem with my Forest River Impression?
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
