This complaint is about a national company(Cruise America) that has a dismal maintenance program(if any) for their fleet of rental RV's. Me wife and I rented an RV to see this amazing country while traveling from [XXX] to my Navy reunion in [XXX]. We soon realized it wasn't going to be as fun as we imagined. The ride was the bumpiest we ever experienced and was to remain that way for 4445 miles. From day 1 I was calling the customer relations dept. to find out the protocol to get it fixed. I told them it must be the shock absorbers. The rep responded that he will find a mechanic in the next location we were passing. He didn't. He liked the idea I had since we would be in IL for 4 days, maybe…
On two separate occasions, the vehicle's left rear wheel studs have broken off clean with the hub and both rear dual wheels departed the vehicle while in motion. This issue was reported to the local FORD dealer and they reported that they do not know why this is happening. This has happened to five (5) of our other vehicles as well. I am a fleet manager for an EMS service and we have a total of ten (10) of these Ford chassis. The wheels coming off present a hazard to oncoming traffic not to mention the safety of our team members and patients being transported on our ambulances. We sent the vehicle to Kilgore Ford in Kilgore, Texas and they advised they are not sure how this keeps happen…
Over the course of the last 3 months I have experienced different problems with the emissions on my truck. It started with replacing the sensor in the tail pipe then that led to loosing power while pulling my 25 foot goose neck trailer. On 7 different occasion I lost power while hooked up to my trailer. It happens with no warning either on hills or on a straight away. Two of the cases almost led to a wreck because semi's were following me to closely and when I lost power I immediately turned on my flashers and they were either able to get around me or lock up their brakes without hitting me. When this happens I have to coast off to the side of the road and restart the truck to get out …
open recall for paint peeling on the gas tank, could cause a fire. No Ford dealers in my area can take care of the problem.: I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a Ford dealershipâs failure to properly support and address a safety recall on my vehicle. As you know, safety recalls are issued to protect consumers and ensure that potentially dangerous vehicle defects are corrected promptly and at no cost to the vehicle owner. When a dealership fails or refuses to properly handle a recall repair, it raises serious safety and compliance concerns. Despite bringing my vehicle to the dealership regarding the recall, the issue has not been properly addressed. I am requesting that this …

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2026, owners most often name: steering, engine, power train. 155 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
