My 2022 Ford Bronco Sport exhibits severe engine knocking and low fuel pressure, which are primary symptoms of open safety recalls 24S16 and 25S76. On 9/29/26, Seelye Ford of Kalamazoo charged me $220.21 out-of-pocket for a powertrain recall system software update. They are now refusing to inspect the physical fuel injectors or complete the safety recalls unless I pay out-of-pocket to replace an unrelated push-to-start button module, holding a federal safety recall hostage. The vehicle continues to malfunction identically after their software flash, making it a severe stalling and fire hazard. It is currently stranded on the dealer's lot.
THE RIGHT REAR BLACK PLASTIC FENDER FLAIR BECAME LOOSE AND FLEW OFF MY CAR ON THE HIGHWAY STRIKING ANOTHER VEHICLE. NO DAMAGE WAS CAUSED TO THE OTHER VEHICLE WHICH WAS A DUMP TRUCK. I CALLED A FORD REPRESENTITIVE ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND THEY SEEMED TO NOT CARE AT ALL AND TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO FORD AND THAT I HAVE TO PAY TO FIX IT. MEANWHILE I LOOKED UP RECALLS AND THIS PART WAS A RECALLED ITEM. THE FORD REPRESENTITIVE THEN TOLD MY THAT THIS RECALL DID NOT PERTAIN TO MY VEHICLE. HOW IS THIS ALLOWABLE? THIS WAS EMAILED TO ME BY FORD. …

UNKNOWN THE VEHICLE HAS A VERY STRONG ODOR COMING FROM VENTS IT SMELLS LIKE FUEL OR GAS. It feels like it is about to lose power. It stresses me out driving it and no one can fix it!!
My vehicle is subject to open NHTSA recall 25S76 regarding a fuel injector that may crack and cause fuel to accumulate on top of the engine near hot surfaces, creating a fire risk. This recall was identified months ago, but Ford has stated parts are not currently available and no repair date has been given. I have not received any further communication or updated timeline since the recall was issued. In the meantime, my vehicle has also been experiencing intermittent jerking during acceleration between approximately 40-50 mph, which I am concerned may be an early symptom of the injector issue described in this recall. I am continuing to drive the vehicle because no remedy is currently availa…
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that on several occasions the vehicle lost automotive power while driving and while stopped and idling. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that after refueling, the vehicle required several restarts before continuing to drive. The vehicle was towed to a dealer to be diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the battery was prematurely draining and that the EVAP was clogged, and that the battery and EVAP needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,000.
The rear windshield spontaneously combusted while doing 65 mph on the highway. Nothing touched it. Huge bang and it blew up towards the inside of the car.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while the vehicle was stopped, a warning light illuminated, indicating a rear seat belt monitoring fault. There was an audible alert. The orange SRS symbol was displayed. The contact stated that the failure was associated with Customer Satisfaction Program: 24N08 (Driverâs Side Seat Buckle Replacement). The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was determined that the front driverâs side buckle, seat belt, and air bag SRS light needed to be repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer was aware of the issue. The manufacturer was contacted by chat and by phone. The contact was awaiting guidance from the man…
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.
This article supersedes TSB 25-2575 to update the Parts list to add the applicable body wiring harnesses and underbody shield bolts. Some vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit a "Sta-bar Disconnect Service Required" message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with any of the following diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored in the chassis control module (CHCM): C103A, C1A99, C1B03, C1B07, C1B14 and/or B1A67. This may be due to water intrusion in the stabilizer bar wiring harness connector.
This article supersedes TSB 25-2466 to add Bronco Sport, Escape, Maverick and Corsair, as well as removing Expedition and Navigator. One time use parts for Corsair and Bronco Sport were also added to the parts list. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit a headliner rattle or sagging condition around the roof opening panel. This may be due to the adhesive separating from the headliner substrate.
Some 2025-2026 Maverick and 2026 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with an 8-inch instrument panel cluster (IPC) display may exhibit a condition where the fuel gauge displays one mark below the full fuel level when the fuel tank is full. This may be due to the software in the IPC. To correct the condition, download and run the "IPC - Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Software Update" application using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 10849 and labor operations 12651D and IPC.

Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2021–2026, owners most often name: electrical system, engine, power train. 2,338 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
