What Ferrari 458 owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Ferrari 458 safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.

All the plastic in the dashboard, including all the buttons that are essential for operating the car, starts melting, the labels on these essential buttons become unidentifiable, and it coats the fingertips and hands with melted sticky plastic which renders the driving experience not safe as one is trying to clean his/her hands from essentially glue. A quick google search shows this is an extremely common problem in these cars. While there is an obvious cosmetic issue here, I believe this is also a safety issue when the button labels cannot be read, or when a glue-like chemical is all over the hands while driving.
I HAVE A 2012 FERRARI 458 ITALIA AND THE "FLAPPER" ON THE FUEL FILLER DOES NOT CLOSE. I'VE NOTICED ON A COUPLE OCCASIONS THAT AFTER FILLING AND "SPIRITED" DRIVING (CORNING AT LEGAL SPEEDS) I WILL HAVE FUEL ON THE SIDE OF THE CAR. THIS INDICATES THAT THE FUEL CAN "SLOSH" OUT OF THE FILLER NECK. I'VE GOT A CONCERN THAT THIS COULD IGNITE CAUSING A FIRE. I'VE BEEN ABLE TO MANIPULATE THE FLAPPER TO GET IT TO CLOSE, BUT IT STICKS OPEN AGAIN AFTER THE NEXT FUEL UP. I'VE ATTACHED A PICTURE OF THE ABNORMAL CONDITION. THE FLAPPER IS STUCK OPEN IN THE ABNORMAL CONDITION AND IS THE SAFETY CONCERN. I BELIEVE THE FLAPPER SHOULD ALWAYS RETURN TO CLOSED WHEN FUEL FILLER NECK IS REMOVED FROM THE AUTO…

FERRARI DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE URGENT SAFETY RECALL REGARDING THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT AIRBAG. I AM WORRIED FOR MY SAFETY AND THAT OF MY FAMILY IN CASE OF A CRASH.
TAKATA RECALL WHILE DRIVING AT 65MPH ON A PERFECTLY FLAT AND SAFE HIGHWAY, THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG ON MY 2012 FERRARI 458 SUDDENLY AND FOR NO VALID REASON EXPLODED AND DEPLOYED. THERE WAS NO COLLISION, THERE WAS NO POTHOLE OR ANY OTHER DAMAGE THAT WOULD HAVE NECESSITATED THIS AIRBAG TO GO OFF. THE RECALL THAT RECENTLY HAPPENED FOR FERRARI'S PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED TO COVER THE DRIVER'S SIDE AS WELL SINCE CLEARLY ALL AIRBAGS IN THIS CAR ARE DEFECTIVE AND POSE A LIFE-THREATENING DANGER TO ALL FERRARI 458 OWNERS AND OTHERS ON THE ROAD. *JS *TT 'PARTS OF THIS DOCUMENT HAVE BEEN REDACTED TO PROTECT PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION…

Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.
From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited. The rapid burning can cause the inflator to rupture during deployment, potentially causing serious or even fatal injury to vehicle occupants. See 20
NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received two complaints and verified a third allegation in a public forum alleging fuel loss from the subject vehicle originating from the fuel fill location while in motion. The Model Year (MY) 2010 ? 2015 Ferrari 458 (subject vehicle) has two built-in systems that are designed to prevent fuel loss: the capless fuel filler and the anti-spit back valve. Damage to the capless fuel filler was noted in all three incidents. Failure of the capless fue
Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2015, owners most often name: air bags, unknown or other, fuel system, gasoline. 10 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
