The contact owns a 2014 Freightliner XC-L. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the check engine warning lights and diesel exhaust fluid message appeared on the instrument panel. The contact attempted to pull over into a rest stop and the vehicle shutoff with several other unknown warning lights illuminated. Due to the failure, the contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic who discovered that the large wire bundles connected to the large main wiring harness had settled on top of the transmission which led to the engine failure. Revised Emissions Recall: Cummins DEF Sensor Shortage. REVISION: Some vehicles formerly in Group F have been moved to Group G and have been assigned a new part number as specified in Table 1. An SRT for 'Calibration Code Only: Update or Confirm' has been added, as shown in Table 2, to be used when a new DEF header is not required. There have been some other minor changes to the work instructions and SRT times.
