This unit is a cutaway Sprinter converted to a class C RV by Dynamax Corporation. I discovered a propane leak and in tracing it down, found that Dynamax had run their main propane delivery over a flexible hose. This hose was improperly protected from being damaged by poor installation process in that the hose was strapped to a cross member under the unit without consideration to protecting the sheath. I have just over 20K miles on this and the main sheath has a pinhole caused by it rubbing against a sharp edged metal cross-member. The cross-member is directly under the passenger compartment exposing us to fire and gas exposure. This danger could have easily been avoided by either puttin…
RAM recall #C4B, affecting ABS and Electronic Braking. Recall in effect, but no parts available for fix. This recall has been in effect for a few years. This vehicle is a 20000 lb motorhome, and my family's safety is being compromised by RAM dragging their feet and delaying the supply of replacement parts. I've contacted two RAM dealers and RAM Customer Service to no avail.
ABS light and warning bell on and sounding. Traction control light also on. Diagnostic shows error code c0020-01, ABS pump motor electrical failure. A canvass of every Dodge/Chrysler part supplier and all other possible parts suppliers including junk yards in the US and Canada revealed âno part (ABS Hydraulic Unit, 6834. 7099 AC) is available anywhere in the US or Canada. I was advised that it would be unsafe to drive the vehicle. I am stuck 2400 miles from my home with no solutions from anyone including Dynamax and Chrysler.
Exterior RV retractable awning (model = Latitude) manufactured by Carefree of Colorado and installed by Dynamax Corporation on the Isata 3 models. Several RV owners are reporting that the awning pitch adjustment locking screws are missing on their Isata 3 vehicles. These pitch adjustment screws are "pitch locking" screws, yet neither Dynamax Corporation (responsible production and installation of Carefree Awning installation) nor Carefree https://www.carefreeofcolorado.com/ have addressed this HIGHWAY SAFETY issue! It is not rocket science that an RV manufacturer should consider this EXTERNAL RV component missing part a HIGHWAY SAFETY concern! This was discovered by checking our Isata 3 …
The ABS (anti lock braking system) module failed resulting in ongoing beeping with display warning to service the system, and intermittent failure of other electrical features. A local mechanic diagnosed the problem and recommended replacement of the module. The Dynamax RV is a coach built on a Ram 5500 chassis. I was able to obtain a new replacement ABS module, but then learned that it had to be installed and "flashed" (programmed) by a dealer. I contacted Dynamax (now owned by Forest River), but have not received a reply. I then contacted the five nearest Ram dealers in my area. All of them told me that they could not help me because my vehicle is too big for their shop. I don't know if…
Tire Pressure Monitoring System is very unreliable. Right rear wheel rarely reads. TPM readings are typically off by over 10psi verified with calibrated gauges when cold.

Technical service bulletins (TSBs)
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

Failure of the ORC module to command airbag and/or pretensioner deployment can increase the risk of injury in certain crashes. Failure of the ESC can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning."

The routing of the main wiring harness might contact the drive shaft and chafe, which could result in a short circuit, loss of drive power, power steering, and brake control system. A short circuit increases the risk of a fire, and a loss of drive power, power steering, and brake system control increases the risk of a crash. This is in reference to Mercedes-Benz Recall Campaign 24V166.

Questions
What are the most common Dynamax Isata problems?
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2024, owners most often name: electrical system, service brakes, unknown or other. 17 complaints are on record.
Is a complaint or a TSB the same as a recall?
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
How do I report a problem with my Dynamax Isata?
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
