While the motorhome is traveling down the road, hitting any dips or bumps in the road at any speed, one of the supports for the coach frame hits the helper springs in the rear of the coach. Also, at the front end of the spring, the head of the shackle bolt rubs against one of the welded brackets. Coachmen RV installed helper springs that are manufactured by Super Springs Inc on the rear suspension of the Ford E450 Class C motorhomes. It is part of their âCRV Comfort Rideâ package. The added helper springs are making contact with one of the frame supports for the coach on both the driver and passenger side. This is due to not having enough clearance for suspension travel. June 6 2023 -- While making a tight turn the POWER STEERING LINE "POPPED" with no warning creating a loss of steering and braking capabilities and placing us in danger. There is a Ford recall (22S08) for several vehicles of this same make/model but our vehicle was not included and we don't know why. It has taken a Ford shop nearly 4 months to repair. According to the Ford shop only the hoses were replaced and not the actual pump. This was a very dangerous situation and we should have been notified of this known defect.

Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation public data (complaints, manufacturer communications, investigations), model years 2010 and later. Had a safety problem? Report it to NHTSA.
In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2025, owners most often name: equipment, tires, unknown or other. 11 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
