What Chrysler 200 owners have reported to NHTSA, the service bulletins the manufacturer sent dealers, and any federal defect investigations, by model year. See Chrysler 200 safety recalls or check your VIN.
Complaints owners filed with NHTSA, by the model year of the vehicle. A high count can also mean a popular year, so compare it with how many were sold.

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while driving 35 MPH, the message that the transmission was too hot was displayed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, and the contact was advised to take the vehicle to a dealer. The dealer was contacted by phone and made aware of the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with transmission wiring harness and TCM failure. In addition, the contact was informed that the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V529000 (Power Train); in August 2018. My 2015 Chrysler 200 displayed the warning âService Trans Stop Safely Shut Off Engine to Engage Park.â The vehicle has approximately 79,136 miles. I am concerned this is a safety-related transmission/park engagement defect because the warning indicates the vehicle may not properly engage Park. I am requesting that NHTSA document and investigate this issue and determine whether my vehicle is affected by an existing transmission-related recall or whether the affected vehicle population should be reviewed.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving, the vehicle unexpectedly shut off. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic on three separate occasions, and the vehicle was diagnosed. The contact was informed that the power distribution center was inoperable and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); as a possible cause for the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 180,000.
Code C14A7 and internal binding occurred on my 2015 Chrysler 200, which shares the identical PTU architecture as the recalled 2015 Jeep Cherokee.
The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the passenger side headrest deployed without warning or impact. The contact expressed concern that the driver side headrest could deploy while driving, potentially causing a crash. While researching the failure online, the contact learned that the plastic components may weaken over time due to extreme heat, causing the safety clips to crack and release. The failure mileage was approximately 147,680.

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2018, owners most often name: electrical system, engine, power train. 4,221 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
