Vehicle suffered an intermittent, severe, and dangerous total loss of acceleration while driving in rainy conditions. Upon pressing the accelerator pedal from a stop, the vehicle rolled slowly for 5 to 10 seconds and completely ignored all gas pedal input before finally accelerating. The engine remained at a smooth, dead idle and failed to rev up entirely during the failure, creating an immediate traffic hazard. A scan revealed an active ABS system failure. This dangerous safety hazard occurred less than 4 weeks after a certified GM dealership (Grieco Chevrolet of Fort Lauderdale) performed the official GM Safety Recall N222372310 for Inadequate Fuel Pump Flow on September 4th. The fuel pump…
I noticed on the front passenger side door/windshield, the airbag is starting to come out of the plastic windshield pocket where it is being held. I pushed it back in but there is no recall for this. ...My next problem is the front panel near the doors is rusting out and one day I will be driving and my car will be flat on the ground.. who will fix these problems and would I have to pay for them. Otherwise my car is kept in very good condition. Thank you for your help.
vehicle has 19000 miles on it. While driving, the engine died in traffic. I was sent a code from on-star of P129F. I had the suv towed by AAA to the nearest Chevy dealer and had to get a hotel. After researching, I discovered that this is a common problem with a multitude of GM vehicles whereas the control module for the fuel pump has a known failure issue. The module is an FPDCM module. The issue is so frequent that GM has a service bulletin 24-NA-139 and yet there is no recall. My suv has been serviced by Chevy dealerships over 4 times since purchasing new and this module should have been replaced before I was put in a potentially dangerous position. A recall needs to be issued immediately…
On XXX I was driving a rental car that I was placed in due to my vehicle being repaired. I was placed in a Chevy Trailblazer VIN#: [XXX] My rental with this Chevy Trailblazer began on XXX. Using the available features in the vehicle, the center console has an area that you can place your cellular phone to charge your cellular phone. Which is used this option on XXX. On XXX, I placed my cellular phone in the charging bank location while I was operating the vehicle. When I arrived at my destination I took my cup out of the cup holder and grabbed the keys, and grabbed my phone and tucked it against my arm to get out the car and the charging bank my cell phone case so hot that it burnt my for…
The vacuum pump of the vehicle has failed four different times now, needing replaced each time, causing the âservice brake assistâ light to come on and the brakes to be really incredibly hard to press. Each time, it has been at highway speeds, and has made it extremely unsafe due to making it so hard to stop the vehicle. The first time it happened was in July of 2024 at 72,000 miles, again in October of 2024 at 80,000 miles, again in May of 2026 at 112,000 miles, and most recently in September of 2026 at 118,000 miles.
The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving approximately 20 - 25 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the brakes locked up. The contact turned into a nearby parking lot and coasted to a stop and shifted into park(P). The contact waited a while for a co-worker, and the co-worker drove the vehicle to the residence. A certified mechanic arrived and inspected the vehicle. The mechanic informed the contact that the brake booster had failed and there was a recall for the failure. The manufacturer was informed of the issue and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure.
Once reaching around 50,000-60,000 miles, I began to experience a tremble/shudder sensation when driving between 35-45mph and the vehicle would appear to be on either 2nd or 3rd gear (usually under stress going up a hill). Mentioned to 2 different dealers but denied it being the transmission, both claiming because they never heard of Transmission issues with the Equinox. They ruled it as a PCV issue or balancing issue. After replacing the PCV and valve cover gasket as well as checking the balancing, the issues continued with no resolution. Even had the transmission fluid exchanged but no resolution. Now the shudder has intensified at times where it can feel very aggressive, feeling as if the…
On Friday, September 18, my wife was driving down I81 towards Knoxville when the car died on the highway. She pulled over and we had to have a tow truck flatbed the car to a nearby garage to diagnose. They had the car for 4 days and found that there was a low fuel pressure code. They were going to replace the fuel pump but told me that there was a recall on some 2021 Equinox's for faulty fuel pumps so I chose to pick up the car and have it taken to a local Chevy Dealer for their diagnostic as experts. That is where the car is as of the submission of this report.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

General Motors has decided to conduct a Voluntary Emission Recall. Certain vehicles may have a condition which can cause the fuel pump power control module to fail. If this were to occur, fuel flow to the engine could be interrupted. Dealers will replace the fuel pump power control module.

On April 11, 2024, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened Preliminary Evaluation PE24011 after receiving complaints concerning a loss of brake assist in 2023 MY Cadillac Lyriq vehicles. These complaints allege a hard brake pedal, followed by a âBrake System Failureâ message at start up or while driving. GM shared records regarding several internal investigations for loss of brake assist due to alleged spindle fractures in the eBoost system. GM has stated that in the event of a spin

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2010–2027, owners most often name: engine, visibility/wiper, power train. 6,945 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
