After 3 weeks of no using the car, the radio system stopped working. This included the backup camera, the charging ports, the GPS, and other screen features. Due to the nature of the size of the car and the blindspots, this made it really hard to see other cars/people when reversing. The car was seen by the dealership and I was told I would need a new screen. After replacement of the screen, the problem still wasn't fixed and I was told I would need a new radio. Changing the radio fixed the problem. Prior to this incident, there was no warning signs. Upon discussing with the dealership, this problem has existed with other Chevy models for unknown reasons.
The back glass is separating from each of the bottom and sides of the top. GM knows that this is a major problem and only covered the original owner but I bought the car with just over 50,000 miles on it and it was a [XXX] bought car and I bought it from a dealership in [XXX] and I noticed the top after I got back to [XXX] with it. I was told by a GM dealership that GM is aware of the defect but they only said that they would fix it if I was the original owner and it was still under warranty. My son bought a Kia that had the head gasket problem and they replaced it with a brand new engine and he didn't have to be the original owner, the vehicle just had to fall under the certain miles to be…
REAR VIEW MIRROR CAMERA WILL NOT FUNCTION. THIS CAMERA IS USED TO GIVE ONE A BETTER VIEW OF WHAT IS BEHIND THEM.IT WAS WORKING GREAT ONE DAY AND THEN THE NEXT TIME I DROVE THE CAR IT WOULD NOT FUNTION. CHECKED FUSES AND THEY WERE GOOD.
I experienced a known issue with my transmission with the MIL code P2812. The TSB PIP5799 which has to do with the Electrical fault in Transmission Control Solenoid Valve 7 (Line Pressure Solenoid). I took it to the dealership and left it there for a week only for them to be unable to figure out the root cause and fix it. So I had to pay a $180 diagnostic fee, only for the same exact problem to occur not even a week later.
The contact owns 2018 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while depressing the accelerator pedal and attempting to make a left turn, the steering wheel became difficult to turn. The service power steering warning light was illuminated. There was an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle and the vehicle decelerated. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V175000 (STEERING); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was 38,000.
On September 21st at 11:00am, I turned on my vehicle and a message stating: drive with care service power steering appeared on my dash. When I attempted to put the vehicle in drive and pull out of my parking spot, my steering wheel was completely locked. I could not turn left or right at all. I put the vehicle back in park and turned the vehicle off. I then contacted USAA to set up a tow as the vehicle was not safe to drive at that point. There is also a recall associated with my 2017 Chevy Camaro, N182182760-03-LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST, this recall revision 03 came out Aug 1, 2019. This is my current issue with my vehicle, which is also associated with this recall. When I spoke with a …
I purchased two Lexani LX-Twenty Performance tires, both size 285/30R20 99W, on April 19, 2026, for my 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible. On 18 September, 2026, at approximately 1:48am, while traveling on I-88 East near exit 131 in Downers Grove, IL I felt my vehicle begin to shake. I heard a pop noise and pulled over onto the shoulder at approximately 1:52am when my TPMS indicated the driverâs front tire was now at 0 PSI. Upon further inspection I discovered that the inside wall of the tire had separated.

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.

No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
