The radiator and thermostat on my 2020 Blazer had to be replaced at less than 35,000 miles. It was out of warranty and the Chevy dealer charged me $3,500 to replace them. Internet sources state that this is a common problem with this car. I complained to Chevy corporate and they refunded $1,000. I do not feel this was a fair settlement due to the fact that it is a common problem.
The main instrument cluster where the speedometer and fuel gauge etc etc reside went blank during operation of the vehicle. I wasn't able to pull over safely until my destination was reached. Restarting the car seemed to "solve" the issue.
The plastic cover on the shark fin antenna has fallen off the vehicle twice now. The second time was just 12 weeks after the first one was replaced at the dealership. The part fails because the plastic clips that hold it to the base are brittle and are easily damaged by the high speed air dryers in car washes. My concern is that if the clips get weakened in the car wash and then the plastic cover separates from the base while driving at highway speeds, there is a very real potential for this part to strike the windshield of the car following my vehicle. The part in question is GM Part Number 26537604. GM has issued a direct replacement to the original OEM part number, GM Part Number 26512…
I am reporting a severe powertrain safety hazard involving my 2022 Chevrolet Blazer at approximately 69,000 miles. The vehicle's 9-speed transmission is experiencing a critical internal hydraulic failure that causes unpredictable and violent lurching. Specifically, there is a severe delayed engagement when shifting into Reverse. The engine revs without moving until the hydraulic pressure suddenly spikes, causing the vehicle to violently slam backwards and catch the gear. Furthermore, the transmission exhibits harsh and slipping shifts while driving forward, specifically violently jerking during the 2nd-to-3rd gear upshift. âThese exact symptoms align with widely documented hydraulic contro…
The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and making a turn, the vehicle lost braking functionality. The brake pedal was depressed to the floorboard. After exiting the vehicle, the contact became aware of a fluid leak underneath the vehicle. The "BRAKE Failure" warning light was illuminated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where technicians diagnosed a fluid leak from the vacuum pump, causing the brake failure. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V645000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) as a possible cause for the failure. However, the VIN was not included in the recall…
My 2021 Chevy blazer is leaking oil at 70,000 miles Chevy only recalled under special warranty for camshaft carrier it appears Chevy put in a glue for them seals that comes off unfortunately they donât recall all blazers just some but I am having the same issue as that special warranty. Itâs a safety concern because no oil in the car can blow up the engine .6500 to repair
The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV. The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 15-20 MPH and pulling into the driveway, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to respond. The vehicle entered the garage, and struck equipment along with the garage wall, causing structural damage. The contact stated that the front driver's side air bag failed to deploy and the Forward Collision Avoidance system failed to engage as expected. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the contact was informed that no braking system failure was found; however, the contact believed that the failure was not identified because the system had rebooted prior to arrival at t…
The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that while driving 52 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The contact stated that the vehicle independently accelerated and there was an abnormal clicking sound. The brakes eventually responded, and the vehicle stopped. The contact stated that the failure lasted for approximately five miles. The contact's two minor grandchildren were inside the vehicle during the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48,100.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation opens these when complaints point to a possible safety defect. Many end in a recall.
On April 11, 2024, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened Preliminary Evaluation PE24011 after receiving complaints concerning a loss of brake assist in 2023 MY Cadillac Lyriq vehicles. These complaints allege a hard brake pedal, followed by a âBrake System Failureâ message at start up or while driving. GM shared records regarding several internal investigations for loss of brake assist due to alleged spindle fractures in the eBoost system. GM has stated that in the event of a spin

No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
