The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV. The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 15-20 MPH and pulling into the driveway, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to respond. The vehicle entered the garage, and struck equipment along with the garage wall, causing structural damage. The contact stated that the front driver's side air bag failed to deploy and the Forward Collision Avoidance system failed to engage as expected. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the contact was informed that no braking system failure was found; however, the contact believed that the failure was not identified because the system had rebooted prior to arrival at t…
While backing into parking at a Humble Cow ice cream place. My 2025 Chevy Blazer EV AWD slammed to a stop. I was going 4 mph my spouses head hit the head rest and caused severe pain and stress. We had to go to the emergency room for treatment. This has happened 6 other times 3 since having the required updates and replacement of modules that took several months to complete. She was given medication and lytocain patches for the trauma of her neck and head. She is now afraid to drive in my vehicle. I looked up the situation and found on Reddit and the internet that this is a known issue with Chevy and several other vehicles relating to their braking and eboost system. One work around …
There was a wreck up ahead, and two tow trucks with their emergency lights flashing were blocking the left two lanes. Traffic was stop-and-go due to the existing wreck. I was traveling in the lane to the right of the tow trucks as I approached. I stopped about 1â2 car lengths behind them. When traffic started to move, I began to move forward and advanced about a car length when the automatic emergency braking (AEB) activated and slammed on the brakes, even though the path in front of me was clear. The person behind me rear-ended me. Luckily, no one was physically hurt, but there is damage to our car that now has to be repaired, along with all the headache that brings. If this had happened …
Attempting to merge into another lane today. Collision warning emergency breaking triggered and break checked the vehicle behind me. Almost caused me to be rear ended by the vehicle behind me.
I was driving down a road. Vehicle slammed on the brakes and then accelerated in it own causing me to hit a guardrail.
I am reporting a potential safety defect involving unintended automatic emergency braking/forward collision warning/brake-control behavior, reverse automatic braking, parking brake behavior, and driver-assistance/sensor calibration. Incident XXX ~11:15 AM, [XXX] driving 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV ~20â25 mph on/near [XXX]. Vehicle displayed red collision alert and abruptly braked hard although the lane was clear; only a car was parked in a driveway on the right. Sudden braking created serious risk of rear-end collision/loss of control. Vehicle used for family transportation; toddler (~30.8 lb) had been in vehicle ~10 minutes before and family includes blind/visually impaired passenger. Histor…
This is now the second report from this vehicle with similar issues. This incident happened when in reverse with nothing behind me, the vehicle slammed on its brakes. No audible warning in the vehicle and nothing showing on the dashboard. The vehicle just applied emergency braking. This was a witnessed event.
While driving in a plaza parking lot at approximately 18mph the AEB engaged for no reason. There were not any objects near our car to activate the system. The AEB activated so quickly and abruptly that my spouse and I needed to seek medical attention due to whiplash.

No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
