The contact stated that the recall repair of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V266000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) was previously performed on the vehicle. The contact stated while the driver was driving 55-60 MPH uphill, he noticed smoke coming from underneath the driver's side of the hood. The contact stated that the driver depressed the brake pedal several times, but the brake pedal went down to the floorboard, and the vehicle failed to respond. Sudden catastrophic fuel system failure due to contamination fuel and fuel filter bypass, yes it is available to inspect. Truck shut off during operations and did not restart, the vehicle is at the dealership to replace High pressure fuel pump, lines, fuel rail and injectors. After the the truck died there was a message in the message center "water in fuel, service". The truck never sputtered, no loss of power or engine light. No codes were thrown either.
