Brake light stays illuminated even when brakes are not engaged. Upon research internet shows this is a recall issue affecting 35,000+ can-am rykers but when I contact my dealer they say that it is not a recall. Can someone please look into this? I believe it should absolutely be a recall and fixed at no cost.
**Re: Safety Complaint â New 2026 Can-Am Ryker Rally 900 ACE** I am submitting this complaint regarding a newly purchased 2026 Can-Am Ryker Rally 900 ACE and a potentially serious safety concern that occurred during the vehicle's initial trip home from the dealership, Redline Powersports in [XXX]. During the sales process, the transaction included substantial additional charges beyond the stated vehicle price and its current advertised price on its website. My paperwork reflects a vehicle price of approximately $10,638, with additional charges including approximately $1,995 for freight, $1,950 for dealer preparation, $552 for accessories, $399 in administrative fees not including Reg/Ta…

XXX at 300 miles on the bike, it broke down FSS failure/ engine overheating warning system came on the screen. Island Powersports repaired it and said it didnât have enough coolant. At 568 miles or so on the bike, while traveling on sunrise hwy at 60 miles an hour, the bike began shaking, same warning light FSS failure, check engine light on. The bike lost power and I had to get from the middle lane to the shoulder of the highway. Another driver saw and stopped to see if I was ok. Got the bike to my house. Next day tried to start it. It did nothing completely dead. I called the dealer. He said no problem. Just get it here and weâll fix it. Well that was a problem because first of all I …
The contact owns a 2022 CAN-AM Ryker. The contact stated that while riding the motorcycle at an undisclosed speed, the motorcycle stalled. The contact attempted to accelerate, but the motorcycle stalled again. The contact pulled over to the side of the road, and the motorcycle shut off unintendedly. The contact was able to restart the motorcycle, but the failure persisted. The motorcycle was ridden to the dealer where it as diagnosed and the failure was associated with NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V855000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 600.
When entering a left hand turn at moderate speed, the vehicle will go into a lurching, bucking, hesitation period, usually when under slight or moderate acceleration. This results in an uncontrolled wobble that will eventually smooth out but can also result in a sudden burst of power that tends to rapidly propel the vehicle further to the left unless the throttle is quickly relaxed. Hard to describe, but the sensation feels like you are being âsquirtedâ out of the turn. I first noticed this barely a month after I took possession of the machine and thought it might be a normal handling trait. As I became more acquainted with the various userâs groups, I find it was not normal and a muc…
Common problem amongst Can Am Ryker riders. When making a sweeping left turn between 20-40 mph, the right front wheel will brake/accelerate on it's own and the bike will jerk. It also causes the right wheel to wobble forcing me to accelerate or decelerate to retain control of the bike. I quick google search produced hundreds of other riders experiencing the same issue and that BRP/Can Am does not have a permanent fix for this issue. I love riding my Ryker, but have avoided it for anything more than a couple mile ride to the store for fear of losing control or being rear ended when it decelerates on it's own. Please investigate.
Can Am is shutting down while operating on highway. Defective fuel pump Shut down multiple times and at times loss of power
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

In complaints filed with NHTSA for model years 2019–2026, owners most often name: steering, service brakes, electrical system. 132 complaints are on record.
No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
