I have taken my car to 3 different dealerships. Plus a transmission shop due to the vehicle do a jerk after it get hot sometimes. I was told the codes that were given to me that I needed a new transmission. I took it the vehicle to a GMC dealership first and was told my car was Cadilliac made and to take it to Cadillac dealership. So I drove 45 minutes to the dealership and paid another diagnostic fee and told it was old codes and they cleared those out . I came back two weeks later with this same issue. Since no one can tell me the issues with my vehicle I'm very concern about this jerk that the car does. it feels like when I go to stop the back of the car still wants to keep going. And eac…

On June 16, 2026, while traveling southbound on Highway 67 in Cedar Hill, Texas, my 2015 Cadillac SRX suffered a sudden, catastrophic tracking failure and crashed into a highway wall (Cedar Hill PD CFS Report 7655). Component Failed & Availability: The rear suspension toe link assembly separated at highway speeds, a direct failure matching active GM safety recall NHTSA 21V473. The totaled, un-repaired vehicle is preserved at a Copart yard and is 100% available for inspection. Safety Risk: The sudden tracking loss at highway speeds caused an immediate, un-correctable collision with a concrete wall, creating a severe, life-threatening risk to myself and surrounding traffic. A deer rammed my passager side . airbag light was always on saying passenger airbag off . but when it explodes it injured my passenger . all the airbags didn't activate my car shut down after the incident but a few moments after it regenerated there were all types of debris after the extreme loudness of the air bags explosion. I'm still traumatized.
the headlights are so dim that the car is not usable at night. I was told by the Cadillac dealership that this is a known problem with GM/Cadillac. The low beam gets so hot that it turns the reflectivity of the chrome to gray. The fix is to replace both right and left headlight assembly.
Repair instructions and other communications the manufacturer sent dealers about known issues. A TSB is not a recall, and the repair is usually free only while the car is under warranty; ask your dealer for the bulletin number.

No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
