My 2017 Buick LaCrosse Premium AWD experienced a sudden, dangerous mechanical failure of the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor system while operating the vehicle under normal road conditions. The vehicle suffered an immediate loss of engine continuity and engine power, forcing the car into a hazardous low-speed limp mode while in active traffic. A certified repair facility inspected the vehicle, confirmed a complete failure of the internal pedal sensor circuit, and replaced the unit to restore safe operating throttle control. This specific electronic and mechanical defect represents a widespread manufacturing vulnerability that General Motors has officially acknowledged under Special Coverag…
My 2017 Buick LaCrosse Premium AWD (116,220 miles) experienced a severe all-wheel-drive failure causing significant binding and a loud rumbling/clunking noise during sharp, low-speed cornering and acceleration. The vehicle has been officially inspected by two separate authorized manufacturer service centers. On September 25, 2026, a certified GM technician at Advantage Buick GMC formally documented that the vehicle has a prominent rear drivetrain failure, identifying it as a "rear diff or driveshaft issue" that requires full component replacement. Prior to the complete mechanical failure, no warning lights or dashboard indicators illuminated. The binding symptoms appeared suddenly during nor…

I was in a front end collision where the damages were over $20,000.00 and the air bags did not deploy.
The volt meter on the dashboard keeps dropping below 14 volts and 13.5 volts. The car has been checked by Buick and my mechanic no issues found. Buick has no idea why it keeps doing it neither does my mechanic. The problem is if there is a voltage drop, the computer will shut down the engine because of the low voltage. This could happen while driving which could be a serious problem. The date I provide is the last time it occurred, but it happens on a continuous basis.

No. A complaint is an unverified report from an owner. A technical service bulletin (TSB) is the manufacturer telling dealers how to fix a known issue; it is not a safety recall and is usually covered only under warranty. A recall is a formal safety action, and its repair is free.
File a vehicle safety complaint at NHTSA.gov. NHTSA reads every report, and patterns of complaints are what open defect investigations and, eventually, recalls.
